Reply to "Unconstitutional"

No question it is unconstitutional. Unfortunately it is the current/future law. It will probably be years before it is struck down by the Supreme Court which is definitely where it will end up, IF it remains law.

I'm just waiting on a law that requires me to eat a green salad once a week (at a location of my choice, by the way) for my own good and the good of my brother and sister. But hey if I fail to purchase one, I should be fined, or better yet, the GOVT can provide one to me, at a price deemed fair, right.

Insurance companies are not the major problem. They cover their cost plus about 2%. Medical costs are the problem, fraud, libility, lawsuits, theft, etc. Fix that problem, then get back to me.

Next time you are at a gas pump, read the sticker on the pump to see how much the GOVT tax is. Figure out that percentage and then let me know how you feel about the Insurance Companies 2% profit, or the gas companies 4% profit. Spare me the "The GOVT must have income for services" argument. When the GOVT approaches becoming "lean", then they can maybe try to oversee others. Otherwise, stay out of the oversight business, until responsible yourself.
