You know, the FBI does a thorough background check on every presidential candidate, including checking his birth certificate. I realize this won't convince birthers, because they just don't WANT to believe he's a natural born citizen.

Could it be that THAT is why Obama won't release it? He realizes that birthers are an embarassment to sensible Repubs, and that helps to fracture the Republican party even more. Between birthers, Palin lovers, and the wackier branches of the Tea Party, Republicans are all over the map. How can they ever unite to elect ANYBODY?
