Reply to "Why Should Someone be Banned?"

Hi Ladies,

Someone posted regarding Uno:

A week or so ago.  Someone reported one of his post made to Bill and he got banned.  I have no idea if it was Bill or not, but with his hatred for Unobtanium and the fact that the post was directed at him, I would vote that Bill did it.

He used some colorful language while admonishing Bill for saying that Contendah was an atheist, just because Contendah had a different opinion on some scripture.

First, I have no hatred toward Uno.  Hate is a negative waste of time and energy.   I certainly do not accept Uno's atheism nor his secularism -- for they are false religions.   But, they are his religions and he will have to live with them -- eternally.  That is, unless he changes his path and decides to enter the Narrow Gate (Matthew 7:13-14) before breathing his last breath in this mortal life.

Second, I never noticed that Uno had used "colorful language" in a post to me.  Most of his posts are rather colorful -- so, why should one stand out from the others?

Third, I did not know he was banned until someone began to post about it.  I do not begin my day by eagerly looking for posts from Uno -- so, if he were missing for a few days, I would not even notice.

And, fourth -- NO, I DID NOT report him for the suggested post -- or any post he has written.

Like Joy mentioned, I believe a person deserves to get a warning first before being banned.  And, I believe a short ban would be effective in toning down a lot of the negative, nasty, or crude language.   I know that when Fish and I had words in PMs several years ago and I did lose my cool -- being banned for a week certainly made me pay more attention to words and how they are used, even in private PMs.

So, ladies, I hate to burst any bubbles, even if you want to put me on a pedestal -- but, once again, nope, not me.  I did not report Uno for anything and did not even know that Uno was upset with me.   If posts are always one color -- how does anyone know if the shade changes slightly?  So, Uno may have gotten colorful with me -- but, he forgot to flag me on it.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
