The fact that he was hiding these remains in a freezer is proof he knew he was committing a crime...or very cheap. Clinics and hospitals which dispose of still born or naturally aborted fetuses have a daily, or at least regular, pickup of the material and it is incinerated.
For mothers who had planned to keep a child, this is sometimes the basis of extreme mental distress. Everyone should be prepared to have a burial plot ready unless they are willing to have the bodies incinerated with others, and sometime even other medical waste. There is not even a marked mass grave for these remains.
