This was my email to Roger Bedford, "You told the Alabama Political Reporter and I quote, "The Republican Supermajority chose to play to the fears as well as the racism of a small section of Alabama voters which make up, sadly, a huge voting block of the Republican primary." Do you have any proof of any racism? Since when was obeying the law racist? And how is Alabama's law any different than the federal law which president Obama refuses to enforce? Your comments were out of line and calling...

Semi is right. Franklin county loves the man and keeps voting him back into office. I say enough is enough. Let's get somebody else in there.

Assuming the new districts hold up I would actually have to look to see if we in Tuscumbia would have Bedford. I saw someone on Facebook a few weeks ago say that downtown Florence said they didn't want him because they were jealous of all he had done for his district. That didn't make sense to me and neither does Bedford.

And to think Roger Bedford has been the Senate Finance Committee chairman every other year--with great influence over State budgets? Talk about putting the fox in a hen house. Everyone that re-elects this guy needs to be ashamed of themselves. Needless to say, Alabama's finances are in shambles. And, the State Senate is the most exclusive boy's club in the State--full of high egos and worthless individuals.

I heard a fellow one time who said, "he may be a crook, but he's our crook"....and as long as he continues to bring pork back into Franklin county and serve it up to his constituents they will continue to put him back in office. It is a shame.

Don't just tell people on this forum about how you feel. We all need to tell our neighbors and co-workers how we feel about this and vote people like Bedford out. It just seems to me that most of the people who have simular mind sets in this country are all democrats. I have been a yellow dog democrat most of my life but not anymore. The democratic party has abondoned it's base for left leaning lebrals and their beliefs. Vote Obama out!

This is what Bedford told the Alabama Political Reporter in its entirety and I quote, “The ruling shows that once again the Republican Supermajority has wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayers money. They have unnecessarily threatened and endangered Alabama’s economy and our image." He went on to say, “Real leadership would have waited a few months, seen what the U.S. Supreme Court said is constitutional and what’s not and then we could have come with a rational plan,” said...

BREAKING NEWS! I actually got a response to my email from Mr. Bedford. This is what he just sent me less than 5 minutes ago and I quote, "Sadly the President and both US Senate and US House of Rep. have ignored and refused to solve the very serious problem of immigration in America. Is part of the GOP Img. Policy playing to the sad issue of racism , yes. The truth sometimes hurts but must be recognized to grow beyond it. No one is for illegal immigration including me and you ." This was my response back to him, " Because the Federal government refuses to address the issue of immigration State governments had to. Then the Supreme Court ruled yesterday that it's Federal issue only, State governments cannot pass their own laws and I respect their decision but for you to say that the Republicans in Alabama passed immigration reform just to please the racist members of their electorate is baseless." Still waiting for a reply.

After 18 years in Memphis, 5 in Nashville and 11 years in the Atlanta area, I can honestly say I've never seen any hospital with the excellent quality patient care of ECM. My parents had to move to Memphis in their last years, and you cannot imagine the poor quality of healthcare--which deteriorated greatly with TennCare. I have no idea what frustrations their doctors face (with such a poor support staff), and I have no idea why they're practicing there. I'm pulling for the new management @...

Alabama newspaper editor calls for KKK to lynch Democrats in DC

L. Cranston ·
LINDEN, AL (Gray News) - An editor at a small-town Alabama newspaper would like to see the Ku Klux Klan “night ride again” to clean up Washington D.C. In fact, Goodloe Sutton went so far as to publish an editorial in the Feb. 14 edition of the ironically named Democrat-Reporter that called for the Klan to ride against the “Democrats in the Republican Party” and the Democrats who are plotting to raise Alabama’s taxes. “Seems like the Klan would be welcome to raid the gated communities up...

You know when we lived in your part of Alabama and my daughter went to Iuka schools, it was not a teacher problem in elementary school. Most of the teachers wanted to do good but they were overwhelmed by kids whose parents took no interest in their kids schooling, except for sports! The kids did not have parents who ensured they did their homework and understood it. In middle school a teacher assigned my daughter to sit in quad seating with the three biggest problem children in the class. My...

What in the world will Republicans do?? Support Bama? Hate Saban? The ULTIMATE conundrum for an Alabama Republican. __________________________________________________________ TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama players and coaches are planning a march Monday to protest social injustice, ending at the schoolhouse door where Gov. George Wallace once stood to block two Black students from entering in 1963. Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said he supports his players’ focus on trying to “make things...

Now enough people have changed so fast and to the dark side it's no longer a discussion, it's become a war splitting the country in two halves unlike anytime since the civil outrage. The biggest part of the blame can go to Bush, Obama, Clinton's, mostly Clinton's and outside interference with very large amounts of cash.
