Re: Hillary's Thoughts

What I wonder is if all those who lavished millions upon millions into the Clinton Foundation, for promises of favors when Hillary was elected President , will now want their money back given that she will be in no position to help them in any way. She can't even influence decisions made in Congress as Democrats have no power now, after this election. You just know that Bill and Hillary made all kinds of offers and promises in return for huge donations and appointing Bill to some well paid...

Oh I disagree greatly, they are scurrying as best they can along with the media to put themselves right back in a position of power. The election of Empty Hat Joe Biden would do just that. Essentially, and as it is now, the upcoming election is to re-elect the current sitting President or elect a President in waiting whoever that is, which will be the VP Choice of Joe Biden. No one realistically believes (at least in the hierarchies of the Democrat party, that Biden will be the one in power...

Re: Nancy Pelosi, a ghastly creature, quite beyond the pale

While technically correct, that Alabama voters do not elect Nancy Pelosi as a Congresswoman they can be said to indirectly have some very minor effect in her being chosen, Speaker of the House, and as Speaker, she does have an effect on what legislation makes it through the house or what is considered, and that can have an effect on Alabama so it is not right to say the People of Alabama have absolutely zero say or concern. While we don't vote for Nancy Pelosi we do elect our representatives...

Unfortuately this is not a suprising result given that our representation in the State Legislature is mostly Democrat and virtually useless to us. It looks like Lynn Greer tried his best but he can only do so much. Our local necessity to elect Democrat while the rest of the state turned Republican is going to make the next few years very tough on us. I agree it is sad but we have no one to blame but ourselves for being out of step with the rest of the state (a theme we seem to do very well).

Hi Winston, You are still trying to equate Matthew 24:29-31 with the Rapture. In this passage, as in Matthew 24:15-28, Jesus Christ is speaking of the Tribulation, not the Rapture. In these passages, He speaks of the Abomination of Desolation (Daniel 9:27). He tells us, in verse 22, "Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short."
