Best I can tell from Jimi's past relevations is he is rather old, living on either social security, or SSI, and his mother has passed on. I really don't expect much of a response, if any. However, I asked a few questions any vet could quickly confirm. i resent "Stolen Valor." I remember my father said he talked with a man who claimed to have survived the Battle of the Bulge, including the unit he was in. Problem was the guy was too young. interventor, the film you saw was of the training in shooting the weapon, not placing it or using it as a combat device. But you could be right about their use of the full auto weapons in combat. This is another story of heroics: VERNON JOSEPH BAKER was a 24-year-old second lieutenant at the time of the action for which he was cited near Viareggio, Italy. Orphaned since 4 years old, he had enlisted six months before the United States entered World War II and was commissioned Jan. 11, 1943,...

I am not sure when it became fashionable to count everybody in the military as a hero. I believe a hero is someone who did something heroic, like, for instance my father-in-law who twice risk his life under fire to save a fellow soldier and earned 2 bronze stars for valor under fire on the battlefield. I don't believe McCain's service nor his capture made him a hero, but what DID put him into hero status was when he refused early release due to his order of capture, when it was offered...

If the only objection to the cross is that it is a "torture device", then maybe we should also get rid of cannons and artillery guns on courthouse lawns. There are rows and rows of "torture devices" in Normandy, France. A few people may see them as Roman torture devices, but for the majority of the world, they are views as symbols of respect dedicated to people of great valor and honor. That cross was erected not to force a belief on to others, but as a reminder that our right to believe or...

While the term "stolen valor" could refer to untrue claims of stomping on a bug to "save" a little girl while you were in the first grade, it technically doesn't. The Stolen Valor Act of 2013 refers to military or ex-military claiming medals/commendations/awards that were not earned.
