Wrong, Ditzy! The piper is presenting his bill! And, the people know it. "As the federal government rapidly approaches the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling, 96 percent of Americans say it is important to reduce the national debt, according to a new Reason Foundation-Rupe poll. Of those surveyed, 69 percent believe reducing the national debt is "very important." With the debt piling up, it is also clear that taxpayers do not trust the federal government to live within its means. In fact, the...

I've known that man since he was 13. I know his family. This man is like a brother to me. I've seen him in good times and bad. His life hasn't been all that great, but he lived it the best he could. He made mistakes and plenty of them. I have been around him and his wife the whole time they've had a relationship except when I was stationed in Korea from 2005 to 2008. Still kept in touch and talked to both over the phone often as I could. I've know her family since then too. I was there when...

I can answer some of these points. ANYONE who is being "arrested", who tries to run or hide, can be charged with resisting arrest. One does not have to pull a gun to resist. When the helicopter crashed, it was clear that it hadn't been fired upon, so the obvious conclusion was that it had mechanical problems. That is what most people would assume. When it was told that it had brushed a wall, that didn't change the fact that it hadn't been shot at, so likely the only people who were concerned...

Hi all, Herman Cain seems to have all the right ingredients to be a good leader. However, the one reservation I have, and I will admit it is not fair -- is that I still have the bad taste of another "dark horse" candidate from Georgia, also Baptist (which is a good thing - if he is a conservative Baptist) who jumped into the presidential fracas in 1975 and became our president. At first, I was excited to have a Southerner, who was a Christian, as our president. It did not take me long to...

The Claim of Inspiration by Eric Lyons, M.Min. Do biblical claims of divine inspiration really mean anything? Should we stress the fact that thousands of times in the Bible a person can find sentences prefaced by the words “God said…” or “Thus said the Lord God…”? So when radical PETA-types throw blood on someone is that also protected speech? That can't really hurt you either, after all. The fact is you don't have the right to throw anything at someone who is doing nothing but exercising his First Amendment rights in a public space, however extreme or unpopular his views may be. Again, I say good for the crowd for showing up to counter-protest and discourage him from burning the flag, but then they took it too far and made themselves look bad.
