Typical democratic spin. Trying to be clever with the title, "Texas Republicans", and posting the story AFTER the vote. Why didn't you give the results? Wouldn't have worked with your little propaganda ploy, would it?

If you don't see the problem with this even being an issue, you're part of the problem. Spin has zero to do with the article. I didn't write it. Parts of the Texas GOP tried to remove an elected official because of his Religion. What part of that did I spin into propaganda? I'm sure it's the Democrats fault, in your world.

when you make statements like "almost everyone" you sound like the fake media. GOP may be in a mess, however it seems to care about the future of our country. I don't care for the republican party or democrat party. However voting republican is closer to my beliefs, smaller government. Obamacare, welfare, food stamps, Illegals, money to other countries are all democrat waste programs. Government should not be intruding in business other than safety. So it shouldn't be setting min. wage. They put extra taxes on pert neer everything just to get more money to waste. Seems every democrat president candidate wants a trillion dollar health care. Well, that Republican spin on immigrants has you all tore up. Truth is, fewer immigrants are coming to the US. Check the facts instead of the Republican talking points. Facts don't have a party or a side. Lets use Walmart for an example. Walmart pays so little a large part of their employees qualify for assistance. Add that to the subsidies given to them and Walmart alone get 6.2 billion $ in assistance, annually. That's just one corporation. So, you can call me a liar all day, but you can't...

Fewer immigrants are coming to the US because the US is trying to keep them out while the Dems are trying to overload the country with them. A sensible wall would better control drugs, murders, muggings, illegal voting to name a few.

Illegal border crossings are down the most in the last 50 years. Yep, National Emergency. Republican propaganda is not fact. A good dose of truth wouldn't hurt any of the forum Republicans. You shopping at Walmart has no effect on their 6.2 billion $ handout. Are you a Republican first or an American? True Patriots are the ones working for Americans, not corporations. Democrats.

So you want to do away with "food stamps?" BTW, it's officially SNAP benefits - no food stamps in years. So your brother-in-law is seriously injured by an uninsured motorist, loses his job, uses up all his unemployment, but you don't want him to get assistance with purchasing food. So he'll be moving in with you, I assume The Bible says the poor will be with us always. Do you suggest we let them starve? And you wonder why some say Republicans are cold-hearted?

I will take care of my bro in law if that happens. not for completely cutting,,, however we are trillions in debt, we have to cut. Smaller government, close borders, don't send money (we don't have) to other countries. stop the billions to immigrants. Cut down pensions to govt. employees (most SS retirees paid in more than govt. employees to pension). stop pandering to media and make difficult decisions.

As to the myth that minimum wage was supposed to be a living wage -- NO! The first minimum wage passed by congress in 1933 was $.25 an hour. Congress confirmed the same amount in 1938. A quarter, then, was worth about $4.21, now. A living wage for a single man was about $.75 an hour and a newly married man, starting a family, about $1.00 an hour. $0.25 was the floor for someone with no skills and, at most, a high school education.
