typical Republican fear tactics that only works on FOOLS - Facts say otherwise Seattle’s $15-an-hour minimum wage law has boosted pay for restaurant workers without costing jobs, a new study shows. The report, from the University of California at Berkeley, is certain to add to the debate as activists around the country push for increases in local, state and federal minimum wages. ...

Seattle’s law gave small businesses employing fewer than 500 people seven years to phase it in. Large employers had to do so over three or four years, depending on whether they offer health insurance to their employees.

As to the myth that minimum wage was supposed to be a living wage -- NO! The first minimum wage passed by congress in 1933 was $.25 an hour. Congress confirmed the same amount in 1938. A quarter, then, was worth about $4.21, now. A living wage for a single man was about $.75 an hour and a newly married man, starting a family, about $1.00 an hour. $0.25 was the floor for someone with no skills and, at most, a high school education. Remember, kiddies, if a Democrat tells you something, always...

there are so many facts against the min. wage raise. however to keep it simple. No one has the right to tell another how to run their business except for safety. Second at 60 years of age the min. wage has never been enough to raise a family on. When I was young we shared apts. had two wages until we made enough. the challenge is most jobs in the USA are service jobs. The other main challenge is the wants category, when I was young we didn't drive new cars, have cell phones, cable tv ( some...

Parts of the Texas GOP tried to remove an elected official because of his Religion. What part of that did I spin into propaganda? I'm sure it's the Democrats fault, in your world.

GOP Presidents Have Been the Worst Contributors to the Federal Debt

Republican presidents have added far more to federal debt levels than Democrats, as a percent of GDP. But Obama's joined Reagan, the Bushes and Ford in the debt-raising camp. GOP In Turmoil As Jeb Bush Begs Fellow Republicans To Go Up Against Trump In 2020

The GOP is about to melt down! The Republican Party is NOT having a great time of it right now. Not only does the party have an insane president that almost everyone has acknowledged is ruining the country (or very close to being impeached or put in jail), but the party is becoming fragmented within itself thanks to the way this horrendous presidency is going. There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the presidents of the past are horrified by what they’re seeing happen to this country as...

when you make statements like "almost everyone" you sound like the fake media. GOP may be in a mess, however it seems to care about the future of our country. I don't care for the republican party or democrat party. However voting republican is closer to my beliefs, smaller government. Obamacare, welfare, food stamps, Illegals, money to other countries are all democrat waste programs. Government should not be intruding in business other than safety. So it shouldn't be setting min. wage. They put extra taxes on pert neer everything just to get more money to waste. Seems every democrat president candidate wants a trillion dollar health care. If you can't figure it out, so sad.

You shopping at Walmart has no effect on their 6.2 billion $ handout. Are you a Republican first or an American? True Patriots are the ones working for Americans, not corporations. Democrats.

So you want to do away with "food stamps?" BTW, it's officially SNAP benefits - no food stamps in years. So your brother-in-law is seriously injured by an uninsured motorist, loses his job, uses up all his unemployment, but you don't want him to get assistance with purchasing food. So he'll be moving in with you, I assume The Bible says the poor will be with us always. Do you suggest we let them starve? And you wonder why some say Republicans are cold-hearted?

Smaller government, close borders, don't send money (we don't have) to other countries. stop the billions to immigrants. Cut down pensions to govt. employees (most SS retirees paid in more than govt. employees to pension). stop pandering to media and make difficult decisions.
