He gave up 25 billion for the wall and settled for 1.4. Claimed Mexico was going to pay for it. Now it's a national emergency. Just a con man doing what con men do.

haha,, every president since Reagan has said it is a problem. The challenge is congress gets nothing done. They leave things on the board for political talking points. To many voters fall victim to it. There are things on both sides that they could have finalized when they were in control however didn't. We can blame Obama or Trump all we want, however the challenge is congress and the media. Pelosi and Chuck talk for votes, Republican elites made promises then do nothing. There are vids of...

Naio, I suspect your knowledge of federal fiscal law is limited. The bill you referred to gave a promise of $25 billion for a DACA deal. That's the same promise the Democrats gave Reagan for the amnesty bill. Reagan's still waiting. Unless there is an appropriation (legal fiscal term) that's all it is a promise. If, the Democrats had made it an appropriation bill, Trump would have signed it in a minute, I suspect. Remember, he recently offered a DACA extension for only $5.7 billion and was...

Proof Republicans can't see facts. Trump rejected a DACA deal and $20 billion on January 11 and 19 , 2018. One a bipartisan deal with Lindsay Graham and **** Durbin. One offer from Chuch Schumer. You can have your own opinion, but you can't have your own facts.

The money was not offered up front; it was offered over 10 years or 10 annual budgets. Reagan and the first Bush were both burned by dems giving something for a promise of future action by lying dems.

Pretty much correct, Stanky. I explained the technicalities of federal fiscal law. Yet, the Demmies, here ignored it. Proof that they have no interest in the truth, only left wing propaganda. As I've explained, I was in the Army Finance Corps. We were taught fiscal law at the Army's Finance school. After my active service, I took further courses while in the Army Reserve. I'm watching a documentary on Bernie Madoff's fraudulent practices. SEC let him off a couple of times, even when provided...

And you two think Trump will get 8billion$ next week with his 'National Emergency'? I'd dare say Trump will be out of office before the lawsuits stop on this end-around the Constitution. So much for the 'Constitution Hawks' known as Republicans. Never again can Republicans scream about the Constitution or the National Debt. They have proven it was all a sham to 'not help the Democrats'.

You're a bit too late in using the constitution card, Congress has already ceded too much of its powers to the executive branch over the last 75 years. I also believe in a couple of emergency declarations the president did move appropriated money around. 10 U.S. Code § 2808 - Construction authority in the event of a declaration of war or national emergency https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/10/2808

I don't guess they're telling about the lawsuits, already filed, on Fox News Entertainment.

Trump has about $4 billion free and clear. The $1.375 billion in the bill he signed. About $600 million in the civil asset forfeiture fund. That's nonappropriated funds that require no approval from congress and, by law, he may spend anyway he pleases. The drug interdiction money has about $2 billion, already appropriated. Its the other $4 billion from military funds that might be a part of lawsuits.

I understand that taking from our Military Families is a reason of great pride among Republicans. True Americans don't want to take from our greatest asset, Military Families, to provide funding for a vanity project. Republicans are perfectly fine with a President going around the Constitution as long as it's a Republican. I hope the RNC remembers this, I know Democrats will remember.

I have read that current law allows the Department of Defense to transfer up to $4 billion in its budget to other accounts if "such action is necessary in the national interest." Also, Trump has asked the Corps Of Engineers to find money as well. It's a stupid way of doing business, but it's cheaper than letting phools blow up the welfare budget with millions more illegals.

trump wants the wall to be his legacy as president. Like obamacare is obama's. That's why trump and the gop are trying to undo every policy obama put in place. Policies can be changed or undone. Walls are for the most part, permanent. A real estate guy like trump knows this. Real estate not policy. That's the con. Create an emergency to build a wall without looking weak by giving the democrats something like daca.

The left has parroted that meme lately. Like a parrot, its birdbrains repeating what they hear. First, its not a wall. Its a fence with angled baffles, topped with conical spikes and curved surfaces to cause grappling hooks to fall off it. Its not a single fence. Its 234 miles of fence, located in about four locations. Locations selected by the Border Patrol.

Semantics. Call it whatever. It's still a vanity object so the base can say trump gave them something. "Promises made, promises kept." I'll give trump credit for his marketing skills, but the wall barrier fence is nothing more than his legacy project. He'll probably build a tower, hotel, casino, or presidential library next to it.

If Trump's vanity wall is such a National Emergency....

Why didn't Republicans address the issue in the 2 years they had control? Answer: Because they didn't believe Trump's propaganda then nor do they believe it now. This won't help Republicans in 2020 with anyone but Trump's base and they were going to vote for him anyway.
