The Depression was still ongoing when the Japanese navy made their uninvited visit to Pearl. Capitalism involves boom and bust, or more accurately creative destruction. Every so often, the old must be set aside to make room for the new. The left never understood this, preferring a steady state economy and culture – nothing stays steady, it either advances or decays. The recession of 1920 was met by the Harding/Coolidge administrations with a traditional cut in taxes and reduction in...

Uh, Dems took over control of both houses of Congress in the 2006 election. Anyway, it probably was too late to avert the 2008 crash even if Dems would have changed their positions on the reasons for the crash that even stoopid Bush was warning about. http://russp.us/subprime.htm

I never saw any such post, and I don't know anyone that would delete it. From what I've seen it appears they all stand by their posts. As I posted, you should link to your claims to show the context of the posts. Even if someone posted it, when the post is shown and you see the person's reason for posting it, it is a lot different than just someone being stubborn. If it makes you feel better I'll say, I'm not going to support any stinking Democrat (You said stupid at first).

The thing that Obama did with the Auto Industry was not to bail them out but the Government BOUGHT General Motors and then appointed a person, government appointment by Obama Administration, that would dictate what GM had to do after being bought out. From that we saw Saturn, Hummer, and Pontiac disappear all together. As for the price that Chrysler/Dodge had to pay that was the loss or forfeit of many dealerships, many owned by Republican donors but people that were independent business...

Typical Republican... make a ridiculous claim with zero proof... and then tell me I'm a loser when you can't prove your argument. That's the Republican way. While technically correct, that Alabama voters do not elect Nancy Pelosi as a Congresswoman they can be said to indirectly have some very minor effect in her being chosen, Speaker of the House, and as Speaker, she does have an effect on what legislation makes it through the house or what is considered, and that can have an effect on Alabama so it is not right to say the People of Alabama have absolutely zero say or concern. While we don't vote for Nancy Pelosi we do elect our representatives...
