The Republicans had the House up to 2007 and split control of the Senate pre-2007 with Dems owning the majority before 2003 except for a few months in 2001 when Jeffords changed affiliation. Even when Republicans had the majority, they never had 60 sure votes to stop the housing crash. The Democrats were already in shambles before the election. Republicans controlled 31 of the governorships and 70 of the 99 state assemblies. Those numbers will go up slightly come 1 January 2017. I didn't vote for Trump, I voted against Clinton. Ok If the prosecutor was corrupt why did Biden have to threaten to with hold aid? The President has a right to ask a foreign government to look into criminal dealing by a previously elected official. He also has the right to threaten with hold aid if they do not comply. Just because someone is running for office does not mean they can’t be investigated.
