What do you think folks? Should we...

There is a common product on the market that I think we should ban. Please read the following description. I've stolen most of the language from some college students.

This chemical is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of the chemical. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage.

Symptoms of ingestion may include excessive sweating and urination, and in extreme cases nausea, vomiting, and body electrolyte imbalance leading to death.

For those who have become dependent, withdrawal means certain death.

Depending on its form it may cause severe burns, corrosion and rusting of metals, add to the greenhouse effect, or become a major component of acid rain.

Despite the danger, the chemical is used in the following applications:

* as an industrial solvent and coolant.
* in nuclear power plants.
* in the production of styrofoam.
* as a fire retardant.
* in many forms of cruel animal research.
* in the distribution of pesticides.
* as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

Recently it has caused severe damage to property in CA, FL, AL, TX and LA. The government refuses to curtail its production.

I welcome your comments.
