**TEAM JENNIFER HAMPTON WALKERS: PLEASE MEET UNDER THE COVER AT THE FRONT DOOR OF THE WEBSTER INN AT 10:00 AM SHARP ON SAT. FOR GROUP PHOTO AND PEP TALK! IF YOU HAVEN'T SENT IN YOUR FORMS, PLEASE BRING THEM WITH YOU. THERE ARE FORMS AVAILABLE AT THE REGISTRATION ALSO, WHICH BEGINS AT 9:30 AM. The walk ends at noon at Wilson Park. It will be a gorgeous day; come walk!**

As some of you know, we raised money after the horrible tragedy involving the rape and death of Waterloo native Jennifer Hampton in Knoxville last year. We decided to use the money to sponsor the Safeplace "Walk for a Child" fundraiser on April 4th in Jennifer's memory.

Because we are an upper level sponsor, the "Jennifer Hampton Memorial Fund" and a logo designed by my brother (the computer guru) will be printed on the t-shirts given to the walk participants.

This is where you come in. We don't want to stop with just the monetary donation. We want to form a LARGE team to walk in Jennifer's honor. Even if you did not know her (I didn't, either), I encourage you to come and walk that morning. Bring your children and teach them an early, valuable lesson about community service.

Safeplace has provided me with registration forms. Please PM me or email me at tina@tplawgroup.com if you will pledge to walk, give me your email address, and I will send you a form.

WHAT? SAFEPLACE WALK FOR A CHILD
WHEN? SAT., APRIL 4TH AT 10:30 AM
WHERE? WEBSTER INN, SHEFFIELD

We will walk from the Webster Inn across the bridge and finish at Wilson Park at noon.

PLEASE JOIN US!

I would imagine so. Thanks for participating!

On another note, UNA plays their spring football game that same night at 6 pm. So it's a fun day all around for the Shoals.
I was looking at the website listed by TPLAW2 & noticed Safeplace has a wishlist. I thought I'd post it because even if you cannot walk or are unable to donate funds, you might have some of these items to donate.

THanks, Joy. And that's a very good point, too.

People may not realize this, but charities are suffering right now. Donations are the first to go when economic times are hard.

If you are one of the lucky ones who has job security, please consider making a donation. Even $5.00 helps. There is strength in numbers!
What about the weather? Right now no rain is forecast for Saturday 4/4 but what if it changes? You know how this weather has been for the last couple of weeks, never sure of what will happen from day to day. Will the show go on or will there be a postponement? I want to participate but I'll be going out of town to work on the 6th and won't be back for at least 2 weeks.

It does indeed look like a nice day is instore for tomorrow, better than yesterday I hope. However I need to ask my wife if I can go walking. She might whoop my ass if I don't.
Nahhhhh... I doubt we know each other Bamafnatk. I'm a member of the BM local in Memphis. I just recently moved to the tricities... Last summer in fact. But thanks for asking. If you'll PM me, I might hook you up with someone you do know.
