I haven't actually seen the machine before, but if he got in it passed out or was sleeping and was covering up with some cardboard, somebody may not have seen him even if they looked inside. I would think it would be a policy for them to look each time before using the machine to look for anything or anybody that may have gotten into or put into the machine. From what I understand that area has a problem with the homeless getting in the dumpsters to sleep, or get trash.

I tried Shoals Insider link and it worked for me.

Depends on what type of compactor they have. The one at my store simply has a chute located inside the store that leads to the compactor/dumpster. Can't see anything in there.
