i just saw something about this on reuters, and i had a thought..

if the government can't gets it's collective kaka together well enough to work together, and there really is a 'shutdown', how about we prorate their pay for the time they government is offline?
after all, they are paid to be the government, right? if it is 'shutdown' then they aren't doing their job, are they?

if you took off work for a few days because you had an argument with a co worker, would you get paid?
i don't see any reason these fat bloated windbags should be paid for not doing their jobs either.

but that's just me.

That which is asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof.. Thanks jimmy, that was easy.
I hope they shutdown too. During the shutdown of 1994, all the fedgov employees got a paid 3 week vacation. My neighbor is a real rocket scientist and the shut down, even for 1 day, will mean the process that he has been working for months will have to be restarted from scratch, costing at least $5million to replace the test articles. I wonder if that fact would make Boehner cry?
