OK...I see you feel you were "out of character".

No problem here. But you go on to state...

hers the problem...

If you had a tendency to do this in the past...just how were you out of character?

I'm going to make a better effort to keep my views on topic and not to get personal with someone obviously trying to stir it up.

UHHH...whats wrong with just being yourself?

Personally I don't care to see any false facades, but, thats just me and my cynical attitude I guess.

Mott, I didn't say that I had a past on this message board, other than the remark I made the other day, of curt replies that is. I post, journal and blog on the web quite a bit. This place is relatively polite. And Mott if I've said something offensive about you personally, please point it out and I'll apologize.

Yes, Mott originally wrote this reply, but I think it was about another member, miamizsun... not you... Smiler

The scared little new one, should not be scared away by someone that knows how to copy and paste. The poor soul must feel overwhelmed at least. To see such a speach and not know that the one posting it was only using someones thoughts abd words can scare the out of Mrs. housewife USA, making them feel more scared and more shut out of this new way of life we have. And believe me I have to ask my son a lot. Hope I got my point across, I had several pauses since the start.

Thanks, themax. I had said I was going to stay quiet and not reply anymore, but I think you have a point. My views while they may not be as enlightened as others is still my point of view and I have just as much right to state them as anyone else. Regardless of ridicule and snide comments I will continue to add my two cents when I can and when I feel necessary. Thanks, again for standing up for those of us fairly new to this. I have learned a lot from all of you, and you all have made me think things through harder than I have in a long time.

lookn2it, I totally agree with you.

I stand for your rights too, I may not agree with you, and you may not agree with me, but you said it so good... we all have the right to state our opinions, WHATEVER they may be without insults and snide comments and name-calling. Yes, there will be some heated debates, but that is what debate is all about. But, hopefully, "including me", we can all debate without name-calling and insulting.

I don't agree with some people on this forum, but I think most of you know that deep inside that I 'respect' you... well anyone who knows me, that is...

You said it best, though!!!

You are more than welcome, although you don't have to thank me, YOU are the one who made the GREAT point up there, I was just backing you up on what you said....

Psst, we may be on different sides of the coin sometimes, BUT, we are on the SAME coin, ya know?

Lord woman.... please dont look back, you and I have sure locked heads before, and came out of it not only unscathed, but actually friends!!! That is one of the best thing about letting others 'fight it out' when they need to, because that is how we get the "meeting of the minds"... Smiler
Oh PLEEEZE! If everybody acted like Miss Manners there be nobody on this board. If you can't be honest with me at least try to be honest with yourselves. We LIKE the confrontations, It's fun!
I don't care what you say or who or what you are let's have at it and RUMMMMBLE! No profanity, no slurs of any kind if you pleaseSmiler
I posted some pics last night. Someone, not naming names because he/she knows who they are, decided to post a pic in reply that was utterly disgusting, not on topic, etc. Yes, your pic reply was deleted by the Admin because I forwarded it to Admin....Secondly, you posted another one that was off-topic, and in what I consider insulting and in bad taste. And I forwarded that also to the Admin, with the request that you be banned from the forum.

I despise trolls. If you don't like the subject at hand, then let it be, move on. If you post truely disgusting and insulting comments, and keep it up, you should be banned. Period.

THAT was the point of smurph's and my comments... look at archives, she and I have had some VERY heated discussions!!! But we walked away unscathed, and gained a mutual respect for each other... RUMMMMMBLE, yep, been there, done that ... A LOT!!!! lol

johnt, in a "perfect world" that would happen, but with diversity, differences in opinions, and passionate subjects, that won't happen on any forum, IF everyone is honest.

It would be nice, but "NICE" isn't what happens in the world today, for the most part.

Brentenman, we have so many TROLLS who have appeared here recently that it is unreal. I missed that one, lol... Glad you got it taken care of though.
hey kindred is rght, we have argued, gnashed ,drawn claws, and we walked away with a deep respect for one another and thru that respect developed a friendship.

brentenman and I have gone head to head on some subjects, but i hold a VERY high respect for his opnions and comments on every subject.

These trolls are a totally different matter. They are not on message boards for anything except a romp and create a brawl, bigger the better only pleases them the more.
They are a boring,disgusting lot.
additionally:

http://ehub.journalism.ku.edu/2006/12/06/different-trolls-for-different-folks

"Internet trolls, however, are for the most part, generally bad. I’d like to maintain my naivety and just keep believing trolls are good, but with the rise of the bad internet trolls, it’s putting a damper on my “good troll” image.

Internet trolls are rapidly hacking into other people's business at an alarming rate. The whole point of an internet troll apparently is to make computer life hell for the person they're disrupting. All an internet troll likes to do is roam the internet undetected and stir up trouble for people. Sort of like standing under the bridge and making trouble for the Billy goats that want to walk across.

I've personally never dealt with an internet troll (knock on wood), but so many people have that there's endless websites about how to spot a troll and what to do after you become victim to a troll.

The craziest thing is that this is such a big phenomenon/problem, the American Psychiatric Association has officially recognized and included in its fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Internet Troll Personality Disorder as an official mental disorder. My mental picture of an internet troll is of some creep who lives in their parents’ basement and just surfs the internet making trouble all day. Of course they’re scruffy, dirty, smelly and overweight.

So as of now, I can't really complain about internet trolls affecting my life. I'm sure once they find me, I'll be checking the how to help get rid of trolls website. For now, I'll just keep thinking of a troll as my Norwegian buddy, who still stands on my shelf to protect me at night; not an internet creep with internet troll personality disorder."
Still another:

http://www.mommyneedscoffee.com/index.php/weblog/the_ca...your_troll_a_primer/

How do I discipline my new troll?

"Now as trolls are known to do, yours may act up from time to time. He or she may get down right nasty and vicious towards you. Remember: That is in their nature. They are inbred to act that way. It is just NOT their fault. (And rumor has it most of them were dropped on their head often as tiny, baby trolls.) Of course, your first instinct as you get used to your new troll is to lash out and want to punish them for being so incorrigible. That would be your first mistake! It only encourages their behavior. The best way to keep your little FluffyBunnyLove in harmony with you and your home is to ignore him or her. Unlike their human counterparts, neglect keeps trolls temperamentally neutral. Allowing them to see your anger or pain at their behavior merely encourages them to keep it up and makes them raging mean. Neglect. Ignore. Restore (the balance). Those are the keys to disciplining your new troll."

I understand that KS, and I'm all for diversity, debates, and differences in opinion. I will respect anyone's opinions until they give me a solid reason not to do so.
What I am referring to is the name-calling, personal attacks, and continual "stirring of the pot", if you will. I know there will always be a troublemakers or trolls that make these outrageous posts or ridiculous comments. WHY stoop to their level?? You need to know when to let things go. Rise above it, or, better yet, don't even acknowledge it.

You can look into a person's eyes and then and only then will you know if they are telling the truth or not.

EXACTLY!!! They sprout cajones on the other side of the computer screen, LOL!!!

I am the same in real life as I am on here, ... I would not mind meeting anyone and having a talk with them, because they would see that I hide behind NO computer to flame anyone.

If I get upset at someone, they know it... lol..
