They matched the DNA to the guy that confessed, in what they called a false confession, Gilbert said that he killed him and had sex with the wife. I am not sure but that looks to me like a reason to if not reopen the case but have another trial with the DNA and all of the evidence. I know that it uses taxpayers money, but if it is to convict the correct person with all of the evidence then I think that it should be looked in to.
I do that sometimes too and have to re-read to make sure I got it.

To clarify -- the DNA did NOT match Gilbert. Gilbert's confession was a lie and they concluded that Arthur planned for Gilbert to confess while working together in prison. The judge saw thru the lie and now the appeals court agrees with the judge. The DNA did not prove Arthur guilty. There is nothing left to throw as a hail Mary because all of this has been done now. Every i has been dotted and every t has been crossed. Put the dog down.
