This story is too odd to be real, except that it is. It seems that a Buffalo real estate developer who was persuaded by the local Tea Party People there to run in the Primary has had an incredible array of racist as well as hard core sex emails he forwarded to oodles of colleagues.

Here is how his spokesperson explains it all away:

quote:

Carl Paladino has forwarded close friends hundreds of email messages he received. Many of these emails he received were off color, some were politically incorrect, few represented his own opinion, and almost none of them were worth remembering.

We're not surprised the political establishment feels threatened by Carl's drive the take Albany back for taxpayers. Our campaign won't be wading through the details of what is just another liberal Democrat blog smear. It figures that members of the Party who brought us record taxes, record spending and record debt would want to change the topic from reform to having sex with horses and S&M parlors.

Here are the tamer links:

So much for his teabagging and Republican candidacy I gather.

Whose class warfare, Ronnie? There is indeed, a class war, and the haves started it and fund it, our corporate Congress enables the war.

This post is not about class per se, it is about the most disgusting stuff I have ever seen sent on the internet from a guy who has the audacity to wish for the governorship of the Empire State. He being a millionaire is secondary -- in fact, it is probably for a candidate to be wealthy as an ordinary citizen cannot afford to run these days without being an agent of someone else or another.

The fact that "grass rooters" want him to run is what is the irony in all of this. How does this play in St. Pius Parish, Lackawanna, I wonder?

And how does it play out with the likes of James Dobson and the Focus on the Family crowd? Or with Tony Perkins and the Family Research Council? Or with the absurd, totally-programmed and robotized politico-religious right wing gang in Tupelo, Mississippi led by Donald Wildmon? All those champions of family values need to come down hard on Paladino!

In situations where some Democrat gets caught in some nasty moral issue, right wingers are quick to demand that Democrats take strong disciplinary action or to chide them for not doing so. Now that one of their own has implicated himself in some intolerably nasty and disgusting business (those e-mails are truly nauseating!), it is time for the wingers to jump on him with both feet and stomp hard!

After the last two new York governors, the state surely ought to find someone other than a filthy-minded skunk like Paladino to contend for the governor's office. If he had any integrity, he would withdraw from the race after showing what a nasty, vile mentality he has!
If you go to the original site of the 'supposed journalism', the emails were forwarded anonymously to a 'news' source that is liberal and unheard of.
Meaning these were either stolen or fabricated emails or altered. Until an actual news site breaks the story, I would not believe it.

Stolen emails were bad form in Climategate but it's OK if they are stolen against a conservative?

A little unbiased corroboration would be nice.
