That article condemns every know religion, so I agree with the hypothesis.

I'm a little slow juan, if you know what I mean. Can you copy and paste the part where the article condemns every known religion. Everybody I know didn't read it that way.

I second that request. Having just re-read the article, I could not find any such condemnation within. Now if you are REALLY trying to stretch a point, you MIGHT be able to say that it is 'implied' in the phrase "Belief grouping is a natural human tendency, but it becomes dangerous when it’s used to make decisions for a majority, based on the worldview of a minority." However, in the context of the article, I believe you are, simply, wrong.

Do tell. I've heard this for years and it is no less tired an worn out now. The ROOT cause IS GROUP THINK, religion is just the justification for actions used by some. Further, "religion" can be definition imposed upon many, many things, thus offering it as an quick and easy target for blame. Such thinking is base and common.

Congratulations! You figured it out!!! Religious dogma gives those susceptible to group think the moral conviction to believe they are right and moral and just, without any rational reasoning. It works great on little kids in Sunday school.

Again, the ROOT CAUSE is GROUP THINK, not 'religion'. No congratulations necessary, I had it "figured out" most probably while you were still filling your diapers, I just reject your premise. Wink
