LOL...thanks, guys. I knew I could count on you and reading that was a great way to start my day. Big Grin

LMM, you know the military. She gets a different story every week, bless their hearts. They just have too much on their plates to make sure everyone is doing their job.

Back when she was in Aircrew school, she got a really bad infection. A few nurses looked at it when she was home on leave & said it looked like staph. ANYhoo, some intern takes a knife to her & now one of her arms has permanent nerve damage.

They kept pushing her on through hoping it would get better, spent almost 2 years training the girl & now say that since it has not gotten better, she may get a honorary medical discharge. She's a little frustrated to say the least, but she also doesn't want to fail in an emergency situation. They are giving her a few months of physical therapy before making a final decision.

Her fiance' is Navy Aircrew as well. So I guess she's military either way...haha. I really like that boy, er, young man. Smiler

Joy, so sorry to hear about the mishap. What a weird twist of fate. Glad you like the soon to be son in law.
Let us know what day they have planned and I'll post a wedding scene!

Congrats Joy on your new son in law!

nash, those beers sound wonderful. I shall have to go nerve medicine shopping. I hope I can find some of that in redneckville.

Chocolate and beer?

Eeeyuck! Do you deep-fry the chocolate?

And chocolate beer sound like something a kid would make up.... lol.

Now, chocolate and bourbon, we can talk.

If you've had a good stout, more than likely you've had a chocolate beer. Usually the chocolate taste is so suttle most people barely notice it.

Unsweet chocolate is excellent for pulling out other flavors. I use a little baking chocolate in my chili. You can't taste it, but it makes the other flavors more bold.

Pick up a 6 pack of 1554, I know they have it in CA. If you don't like it, I really will send you a dollar.

This is a clear case of misplaced priorities.

I disagree, since you would probably use those dollars to buy beer anyway. I can't risk that money going to fund Bud or Miller, therefore it's my duty to ensure quality brewers are able to sell their wares to compete with the big corporate guys.

That's why everyone should send 50 cents to Nashbama. Save money, support good beer.
Of course I'll spend it on beer. I've explained that every time you

Send A Dollar To DeepFat

it goes to the debauchery of myself and certain lucky others. The whole point is vicarious debauchery, for those who can't afford it for themselves.

It's a public service. Because I'm a giver. Give, give, give. Never taking, always giving.

A Mexican delicacy is "mole" (pronounced MO-leh). It's very lightly or not at all sweetened chocolate over chicken or other meat.

It's really good.

Yep, pollo mole is one of my favorite Mexican dishes. Goes great with a frosty Dos Equis draft, hold the lime.

I just realized I've never attempted to make it. That's my project for this weekend, smoke some chicken and try and make mole sauce.

Thanks for the idea.
Not the cat, save the kitty, napalm a liberal!

I love dark chocolate but have not had it in Mexican dishes. I must experiment.

Back on topic.

The age of 4.54 billion years found for the Solar System and Earth is consistent with current calculations of 11 to 13 billion years for the age of the Milky Way Galaxy (based on the stage of evolution of globular cluster stars) and the age of 10 to 15 billion years for the age of the Universe (based on the recession of distant galaxies).

Isn't nuoc mam the juice from rotten fish?

I read the book "Five Years to Freedom" several years ago, actually incredible. That stuff gave him dysintery so bad.
