If we did follow the guidelines under Obamacare most of our employees wouldn't have been able to afford the coverage it required and would have been pushed off onto government plans.

This is a actual email we received today.

As xxxx discussed during the Employee Meetings last week, our Health Care plan has a $50,000 annual limit. This is an exception to the "Affordable Care Act" passed earlier this year. Therefore, we are required to notify our employees in writing that the Federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has approved this exception for our Plan.......

You cannot keep your current plan when your insurance company (BC/BS) cancels the type plan you have which is our prediciment. As of the 31st we will be swithced to what is a very little less expensive plan and the benefits on the new plan are crap but hey, that pre-existing condition thing isn't there (rolls eyes)
