I read stories of interest daily on the internet from the Times Daily. Every Monday morning, my dad makes his usual pligrimage to the post office and mails me all the sports sections from the previous week plus and other story or obit that I may be familiar with.
On a daily basis, I read the Columbus Dispatch and Portsmouth Daily Times in Ohio.
Maybe it is because I lived their so long, but to me the ONLY newspaper to read for State and National news is The Birmingham News. I heard they dropped WBRC from Comonopoly, fortunately I can get it on my Direct TV hookup. That is the only televised news I watch also. Not that I don't care what goes on here, everyone who has read my posts knows my opinions (and true often VERY opinionated LOL) but I consider the TD newsroom a joke and have time and again waited on some real reporting about events of SUBSTANCE in the area. The journalist at the TD are either interested in writing about fluff or have a personal agenda either directly or mandated from upper authorities so I don't trust the reporting.
I actually don't subscribe to any paper. If I get around a hard copy of a newspaper, I'll usually take the time to look through it, but I found that I was paying for 7 days a week and only getting to read one or two.
I get a really large portion of my news off the internet.
