In a rare moment of channel surfing, I recently saw FOX talking about the new changes in political power with their stable of pundits waxing on about Speaker Pelosi, her husband, her clothes...her grandchildren and then it came:

While the conversations continued, a "headline blurb" crawled across the bottom of the screen and in 2007 the geniuses at FOX opted to label the Pelosi decision to pass over Jane Harman as a "catfight".

CATFIGHT!

This is how the Republicans view women with political power?

This is how the Republicans view women with political power?

It is how they view women.

Nancy Pelosi's Speakership has for some reason unveiled a ton of GOP misogyny. They just can't help hauling out the stereotypes and contempt for women. It is as if they are suddenly writing for Fifties humor shows, spinning out visions of catfights and jealous bickering as if for some sketch comedy on a Fifties television show. I think they're imagining Milton Berle in drag getting into some kind of argument with guest star Ethel Merman on the floor of the House.

I hope they keep this up so that they lose even more women's votes.

Of course this not how women are viewed by Republicans. Can we disagree with the womans point of view? P.S. I am a woman. I do not agree with anything she stands for. Sorry! I think there were much better choices than Pelosi! The fact that she is only 2 heartbeats away from being Presidency keeps me awake at night! The Republicans have had nothing but scrutiny from the beginning, and when someone dishes it back, we are considered sexist??? Please!
Google "catfight Pelosi" and any other news source and you'll find its been said at one time or another in just about all of them including Maureen Dowd of the New York Times who said it in a editorial last November.

You come here and post it like it some sort of brilliant observation you have had when in the past couple of days several people have written editorials on the use of the term. I'm confident you have read one and decided you would post it here to show us all what a keen observer you are when in fact you copied another person's observations and have attempted to use it as a attack on a specific news network you don't like.

Should the term be used? Probably not. Is Fox the only news source that has used it. Nope.

Ubermensch, you are correct. PBA54 cannot refute what you posted. Why?
