Imagine the mess if Liberals get the chance to steal an election.

PETITION FOR PAPER BALLOTS NATIONWIDE. http://www.peaceteam.net/hr811.php

It is the least you can do to protect the Neo Conservative movement from crooked liberals trying to hack into voting machines and changing the outcome of elections.

Did you notice how the Dem's had their travel teams of lawyers ready to attack any close election that was a loss for a Dem during the 2006 election. But alas, the Dem's got the seats they were looking for so this election was "fair". Just don't tell that to the folks in Washington state who got screwed into a Dem governor.
What?? The way I've read the tea leaves, it points the other way. Why would you design a voting machine with no paper trail otherwise? There was much smoke in Ohio in 2004 (and Florida, again) but the media decided not to pursue the story. In my view, Bush was never honestly elected.

In any case, a paper record can be checked by either party to determine if there is tampering.

The shrub was never honestly elected. I agree. That is part of his problem. He will never be above 30-something percent approval. What an idiot - he had every opportunity to win us all over and he dropped the ball every time.

In any case, a paper record can be checked by either party to determine if there is tampering.
Democrats, Republicans, Political Machines, Election fraud. oh my. IT IS ILLEGAL TO TAMPER WITH BALLOTS OR ELECTIONS. It is a Crime. US Attorney in New Mexico was STOPPED from investigating possible tampering. The Secretary of State In OHIO refused to turn election records over to investigators. AND GOT AWAY WITH IT.

The election process needs on additional step. Random Sample audits of the count compared with the ballots cast. THAT REQUIRES A TAMPER PROOF BALLOT. THAT MEANS PAPER, MARKED IN INK.

Since the dead always vote 100% for the defacrats as do their house pets, and if the defacrats get their way, their largest constituancy (prisons chock full of wrongfully convicted dim voters) will also get to vote. I remember George Will once quoting someone else,"Republicans would like to do away with slothfullness while defacrats depend on it!"

I will totally agree with your second premise. A ballot should ALWAYS be paper and ink. It's a whole lot harder to screw around with them. I don't trust anything in voting that doesn't leave a paper trail.

I am a Democrat, and suspect that you are unaware of my reaction to slander. First point. When naming a political party, the name is CAPITALIZED. Thus, Defacrats. When refering to a political system, the word is not capitalized. Thus defacracy or defacratic principles. Second, when the standard reference for the Republican Party becomes Repugnant or Repulsive or Repukeblican, I will ignore Defocrats.
To rephrase George Will for the Sake of Accuracy, "Republicans would like to do away with wages, While Democrats Depend on them."

That's an interesting observation. Here is one way in which paper ballots, in this case MAIL in paper ballots may have been misused http://www.bbvforums.org/forums/messages/1954/46569.html?1174063421
It is in my home territory, so I was interested. The story, if it made mainstream got past me.
This article should be of interest to Americans interested in legal and fair elections. http://www.bbvforums.org/forums/messages/1954/46817.html?1174485828

I don't believe in "mail in" ballots either. The only people who whould be able to use mail in ballots are military members who are deployed out of their normal home voting area.

How about Private contractors? Or citizens on duty with corporations. Or people traveling to obtain medical services. Or people who maintain a residence in Alabama and Puerto Rico? How about foreign Correspondents for the New York Times? HOW ABOUT ME, I WAS A CROSS COUNTRY TRUCK DRIVER. I WAS IN MY H9OME 15 DAYS A YEAR. THE REST OF THE TIME I WAS PUTTING FOOD ON THE TABLE FOR THE PEOPLE OF DETROIT, OR DELIVERING NEW TOILETS TO CALIFORNIA. YOU DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO VOTE IN THE ROUGHLY 27 ELECTIONS THAT CAME AROUND DURING THAT TIME?

Mail in Ballots are invariably Paper. They are secure, and designed to be secret. If they have a downside it is the reduction in the number of "traditional" polling places.

Just like a commie lib. Raise the mimimum wage! It'll be great for America! THEN, they'll go to the local department store and wonder where all the help is. Then they will go to the fast food restaurant and wonder where all the help is and why the price of their combo meal has risen. Three words to explain it: STUPID, STUPID, STUPID Higher wages for unskilled entry level jobs means fewer unskilled entry level jobs and higher prices. There's no way around it. One plus one still equals two. Of course the DEFACRATS (do you feel better now?) realize most of their voters can't add much less understand basic economics.

The problem with "mail in" ballots are that they can be too easily tampered with. I never said you should have been disenfranchised. You normaly know what your schedule is. It should be set up where a certain number of days before an election (lets use 30 for ease of figuring) you can go to the courthouse and fill out a paper ballot that will be place in a normal polling place drop box and will be counted election day. Some places are having as much as 50% or more "absentee voting" just because people are to **** lazy to go and vote.

And if I am a student in College in Pennsylvania, and Live in California, I just don't get to vote? Mail in ballots, if they are properly handled, are less subject to tampering that ballot boxes, and THERE IS TIME TO CHECK THE REGISTRATIONS DAYS, WEEKS EVEN. Something in the range of 80% of votes cast in Washington state are mail in ballots, and their elections have NOT had any serious challenges.

EdEKit , there's one thing I want you to keep in mind. BOTH parties are liberals and conservatives. Neither one is going to be happy with each other as long as there is 2 parties out there.

I wish the H/LL they would go away with parties and just vote for the person.

Let me respond this way, Iraq had a one party government. The Soviet Union had a One Party Government. Cuba has a one party government. THE DISAGREEMENTS ARE WHAT KEEP THE GOVERNMENT FROM TYRANNY.
