The Obama administration’s requirement that most citizens maintain minimum health coverage as part of a broad overhaul of the industry is unconstitutional because it forces people to buy insurance, a federal judge ruled, striking down the linchpin of the president’s plan.

No question it is unconstitutional. Unfortunately it is the current/future law. It will probably be years before it is struck down by the Supreme Court which is definitely where it will end up, IF it remains law.

I'm just waiting on a law that requires me to eat a green salad once a week (at a location of my choice, by the way) for my own good and the good of my brother and sister. But hey if I fail to purchase one, I should be fined, or better yet, the GOVT can provide one to me, at a price deemed fair, right.

Insurance companies are not the major problem. They cover their cost plus about 2%. Medical costs are the problem, fraud, libility, lawsuits, theft, etc. Fix that problem, then get back to me.

Next time you are at a gas pump, read the sticker on the pump to see how much the GOVT tax is. Figure out that percentage and then let me know how you feel about the Insurance Companies 2% profit, or the gas companies 4% profit. Spare me the "The GOVT must have income for services" argument. When the GOVT approaches becoming "lean", then they can maybe try to oversee others. Otherwise, stay out of the oversight business, until responsible yourself.

You may not be waiting too long.
One can discount the obvious bias against (or even for) Fox News. One cannot forgive ignorance of the Constitution of the United States. Anyone with the most basic of education should be able to see that the Healthcare bill violates it. There is no way that the government is given powers to do what they have done.

It should have been obvious that they knew what they were doing also when they insisted first that it wasn't a tax then when it was obvious to them that their new bill wasn't going to make it through courts that they began calling it a tax so they could say that it was Congress's domain to be able to enact it because it was a tax.

Forget the politics or news organizations or commentators we have a President and a Congress that cared little to nothing about the Constitution's limitations when they forced this bill through.
Well, I know this has never been brought up on Fixed News so none of you right wing rethugliteacon radicals have ever considered it, but how is a requirement to participate in national health care different from the requirement to pay into social security to receive benefits? And don't get me wrong, I think this is a terrible bill but not for the reasons you thugs do. It was a gift to the insurance companies and the FIRST mistake the President made trying to appease the republicans, and he STILL hasn't learned his lesson that you can't try to pet rattlesnakes. If we can't have universal healthcare we should at least have a public option. But neither proposal have lobbyist or own a political party as the insurance industry does. These rants from your heroes at Fixed News about repeal is just to stroke the masses, the insurance industry LOVES this bill and it will NEVER be repealed.

So, over half the states' attorney generals are thugs. I suggest you emigrate.

First of all, it's not in any way settled yet. Second, do you really support ANY kind of "law" that would force you to buy ANYTHING that is totally encapsulated? That is to say not related to some privilege such as use of a motor vehicle, a boat, etc. Really?

I have no problem with the elimination of the mandate to purchase insurance as long as there is no medical care available to those that cannot pay. If you in an traffic accident and are unable to pay and have no insurance, you get kicked to the curb where your friends and family can retrieve you and care for you at their home. It would result in many more deaths from illness and injuries, but after a few years, everyone would have insurance.

Yet the whole "house of cards" that is "Obama Care" is predicated on the mandate, otherwise it will not work. Further, when it doesn't work, that will be the point when "nationalized health care" arises as the "solution" to the issue. Oh wait... nevermind.

The Obamacare plan is just more elegant than mine. I would love to see an ambulance show up a car wreck, examine the health care funding status of the victim, realize they're broke and uninsured and drive off leaving the wrecker driver to drag them and their car off the highway. Sounds like a "Mad Max" sequel.

As cruel as it sounds, that should be the alternative. I am so sick and tired of my health insurance cost going up to pay for those people who don't have any insurance and just go to the ER for basic medical care. (The most expensive way to obtain it)
The mandate for everyone to carry insurance is unpopular with the right wing, but the things they like about "Obamacare" , is only made possible by a larger pool of healthier people (like young people etc)
I would ONLY be in favor of repeal of the Obama health care (really insurance reform), on condition that they remove the requirement for hospitals to treat everybody regardless of their ability to pay. If they ain't got the money to pay (remember this could be tens of thousands of dollars) , or insurance to pay, then screw them; they will either get better or die.
I enjoy watching people when their lack of ethics is demonstrated.

Henry E. Hudson, the federal judge in Virginia who just ruled health care reform unconstitutional, owns between $15,000 and $50,000 in a GOP political consulting firm that worked against health care reform.

he owns a sizable chunk of Campaign Solutions, Inc., a Republican consulting firm that worked this election cycle for John Boehner, Michele Bachmann, John McCain, and a whole host of other GOP candidates who've placed the purported unconstitutionality of health care reform at the center of their political platforms.

Campaign Solutions was instrumental in the launching of Sarah Palin's PAC (though Palin has since split with the firm), and Ken Cuccinelli, the Virginia attorney general who filed the lawsuit that Hudson ruled in favor of today , paid Campaign Solutions $9,000 for services rendered in 2010.

Here's one item to enjoy Juan:
NY senator pleads not guilty to embezzling charges

NEW YORK – A New York state senator who was the Senate's Democratic leader and his son have pleaded not guilty to charges they embezzled more than $500,000 from their New York City health clinic.

Sen. Pedro Espada and his son Pedro Gautier Espada entered the pleas Wednesday in federal court in Brooklyn. Bond was set for each at $750,000.

Federal and state authorities have accused the pair of raiding the clinic's coffers to spending spree that included Broadway shows and a down payment on a Bentley automobile.

The clinic is a federally funded not-for-profit in the Bronx known as Soundview, which the senator founded 30 years ago.

The elder Espada was the Senate majority leader, but was stripped of the title after the indictment was released. He lost his re-election bid in the fall.

Now, the rest of the story. Campaign Solutions is not an advocacy organization. They provide technical assistance and advice to various campaigns, not just the GOP.

Gawker either knowingly lied, or posted their information in error. Either, is a serious breach of professional responsibility. Just, as would a judge not recusing himself, if actually profiting by an advocacy group.

How cute that anyone thinks the constitution still means anything or works for the American people.

This government could give a rats butt about the constitution or the Bill of Rights. Look up Pete Shark what he says.

We are ruled by force, Think not? Keep watching!
