LOL LOL LOL!!!! You REALLY think he cares about the scholorships, that is the Universities problems, not his. Maybe he can turn things around, and I sincerely wish he were the type that would do what you suggested, but I just don't think he is... sad huh?

And I totally agree with what you are saying, but you know when it comes to Sports, either players or coaches, they are for themselves at HIGH HIGH dollars.

Ya know though, if people COULD go one full year without spending one single penny on ball games, things just might change, for the better? *sigh*, that is MY pipe dream, and I love sports.

GO SABAN... ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!
Well if the republicans did not vote down the lottery maybe the school systems would be in better shape.....cant blame Saban or UA for the conservatives not letting the education system grow! I think they made a good choice...the UA football program IS where the money is made! For each home game played the university brings in somewhere around 3 million....ROLL TIDE!!!
It should be a criminal offense for anybody employed by a state sponsored school to be offered money by anybody other than the school itself. Also, coaches should not make more than teachers with the same number of years in the system. Therefore, Saban should draw what a first year teacher would draw at an Alabama state sponsored college. My two cents worth.

YOu would never find a coach under this system. Face it, the football program at UA brings in more money than all of the academic programs combined. 92,000 come to every home game, not to mention others who watch on television. That brings in countless amounts of money.

I would never look for a coach under this system. I'd do away with competitive athletics against other schools and concentrate on education. There are more important things than championships and money.
