Our Liberal Christian brethren either deny the Rapture altogether (Roman Catholic, etc.) or believe that the Rapture will occur in the middle of the Tribulation period (MidTrib) or that it will occur after the Tribulation (PostTrib).
We know that our Roman Catholic brethren deny the Rapture -- because it conflicts with their church's teaching of Purgatory, which cannot be supported from Scripture.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First--Billie-jo, you shouldn't lie about what people believe about the Rapture if you don't really

know. Don't fill in what you want people to believe, someone else believes. It's not your call.

Second--Purgatory is supported many time in the Bible.

This is what I believe about the Rapping Rapture, A hugh silver train full of beer will

come to a secret catholic place, unknown to Billie-je, and take all the other forum people

to Heaven.

My second belief, I might go with this one, would be if I died in the state of grace,

my body goes into a grave but my soul goes to either purgatory or heaven.

All this is detemined by the particular judgment, which my soul faces immediately

upon death.

OK, I'm at the end of the world when the general judgment takes place, if I'm in heaven

I won't be judged again. Rather my body will be resurrected to meet my soul.

and await the creation of the new heaven and new earth. ( 2 Cor 5: 8-9 )

The only people who will be judged at the general judgment are those who remaon

on earth at the second coming of Christ, which will amount to billions of people.

( Apoc 20: 11-15 )

If I'm a true Christian who sees the coming of Christ will first be raptured into the air,

body and soul, and await the creation of the new heaven and earth.

( 1 thess 4: 16-17 -- 2 Pet 3: 10-13 )

All others will remain on earth momentarily until they are called for the general judgment.

( John 5: 28-29 -- 12: 48 )

I guess you could try to have be booted from the forum for taking away some of your words, as Bill threatened to do, though I did it to clarify.

What I left of your post is exactly what Bill does to us all. But most people here take it in stride but it annoys me & Bill knows it. In fact, I think that's why he does it.

He's such a kind Christian man.

Hi Vic,

When I wrote that Roman Catholics deny the Rapture -- am I wrong?  Do YOU believe there will be a Rapture?  If so, how does that fit in with your belief about Purgatory?  How does a Raptured person end up in Purgatory -- when Jesus Christ has come in the clouds to "catch up" His church?

And, if YOU do not believe in the Rapture -- then, what is your problem, where have I "put words in your mouth"?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

I guess you didn't read what I believe about the rapture. Yes, you assume you know

what I and everybody else believes, don't speak for me when you don't know what

you're talking about or just lying. Not everyone believes in the rapture, catholic or

protestant.

You're at an age where you'll be introduced to purgatory shorty. It's biblical.

The rapture is biblical, I believe the Bible, all of it, YOU DON'T.

Hi Vic,

So, you say that you DO believe in the Rapture -- that Christ will return in the clouds and remove His church, His body of believers, from the earth before the Tribulation begins.   That is good.

Now, we know from 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 and from 1 Corinthians 15:50-53 that when Christ come in the air, in the clouds to "catch up" (rapture) His followers -- we will be changed immediately (1 Corinthians 15:51-52) -- for mortal flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, i.e., heaven (1 Corinthians 15:50).  And, once we are changed into our immortal, eternal bodies -- why would He send us to Purgatory?  No, we will go directly into heaven to be with God.  We must go directly into heaven -- for the Bride of Christ must be prepared for her wedding.

In heaven, believers will stand before Christ at the Believer's Judgment to be prepared, i.e, to receive our robes of fine linen, pure and white (Revelation 19:8) so that we, the Bride of Christ, will be ready for the Wedding Feast of the Lamb (Revelation 19:6-9).   All of this happens in heaven.  Where and how does Purgatory fit into this picture?

And, then, we, the Bride of Christ, clothed in fine linen, will accompany Him when He returns to earth for His Second Coming  (Revelation 19:14).   This precludes any PostTrib Rapture, for how can we be returning to earth with Him -- if we are not raptured until after He returns -- after the Tribulation.

And, the MidTrib Rapture does not fit -- for how is the Bride of Christ going to stand before Him at the Believer's Judgment to be prepared for His Wedding -- if we are still on earth during the Tribulation?

So, Vic, it seems that only the PreTrib Rapture fits -- which precludes the other alternatives and Purgatory.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

How did you get the idea God would send you to purgatory after all that?

I've explained it before, but you're starting to ad lib again.

I wish you had a brain

Are you going to copy God on all this? He would like to know

Go ahead and rewrite the entire Bible while you're at it. Never mind

what God has already said.
