If I am not mistaken the sale of alcohol stops around 2:00 a.m until 8:00 a.m. when there is the least amount of traffic on the roads. Then it starts up at 8:00 a.m when there is the most traffic. Why not just sale the stuff 24/7, what does time have to do with it.

Mississippi at least around Jackson sells beer 24/7. I thought it was screwed up that the liquor stores werent open 24/7. There was something in the news about changing it to cut down on crime.
In Bonn, capital of West Germany, the joke was that the town night life went home at 11:00 pm. Kind of like that in the Shoals area. And, yes, I love the place.
As far as alcohol sales...if you are going to sell it, sell it all the time. I personally would prefer it be available 24/7.

As far as "no one" out between 2:00 am and 6:00 am, that's wrong. There's a LOT less than at 8:00 pm, but there's still quite a few out during those four hours, especially on weekends.

Skyryder, I can agree with you to a point because I don't drink, so it matters not to me. BUT I do have friends who like to drink some beer or a mixed drink,... and limiting ADULT TAX PAYERS to whatever the lawmakers opinions are is pathetic, at best. If people are going to drink, they are going to drink, and putting little stupid rules around it is just plain stupid!!

But, I have to say that anyone who drinks and then drives deserves EVERYTHING the law can throw at them.
WE once had 24/7 alcohol sales at the shot houses in Florence, but I think they deal in other drugs these days. I'm a prescription drug man myself, and I buy ahead.
