<<<[T]he Trump campaign reportedly collected six million bucks for veterans’ groups; only, nobody’s been able to trace more than half of that money being distributed, and it’s like three months later. The Daily Beast reports that New Hampshire state rep Al Baldasaro, Donald Trump’s campaign adviser for veteran’s affairs, doesn’t know and doesn’t care what happened to about the three million or so in missing charitable contributions. The exact quote is “I could ask, but it’s not high on my priority list.”

To those above who demand an apology: None will be forthcoming because I have nothing to apologize for.   Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, originally told the Washington Post on Monday, May 23 that all the money collected for veterans had been "fully spent." The next day (May 24) the Washington Post printed a major article on the subject, which disclosed confusion and contradictions in the information released by the Trump campaign and by Trump personally. On May 24, the Associated press reported that of 24 veterans group recipients of checks they were able to contact, about half advised that they had received checks dated May 24, the day the Washington Post published their story questioning whether Trump had distributed all of the money. Looks as though the Post article might well have catalyzed the release of those funds. I suspect that the checks were delivered by courier or some other means to get them to recipient groups ASAP, following the Post story.

Besides all these obvious facts, I submit that nothing in my post of May 24, at 9:41 a.m. was incorrect. The Red State link (from a noted conservative source) was provided simply to document the source of quote I provided, but that does not imply that I agree with the remainder of the Red State article. It is my custom to provide links to material I quote from, but in doing so, I am not endorsing the entirety of the source article. Had I not provided a link, I would have been justly open to criticism for failing to do so.

Apology?  Not until some one or more of you carping critics can show me  where anything I posted was incorrect!  You need to improve your reading comprehension such that you do not go off on some knee-jerkedly irrelevant and irrationally critical tangent instead of actually responding to content!

What is your point?  Trump has distributed the funds in the amount of $5.5 million including $1 million from his own pocket.  Reportedly, no administrative costs were charged to the distribution, which probably means his foundation paid for that.

You originally derided Trump for not distributing the funds in the amount reported.  Well, after vetting the charities, the funds were distributed,  Reportedly, a few contributions may yet he received,  You've offered a big nothing burger, again.

And 'duh hasn't posted the Clinton Foundation's gifts to vets.

Now, that Trump has announced the distribution of about $5.6 million to vetted veterans' groups, will Condie apologize.  No administrative costs were made against the contributions and a few contributors are still expected to pay up.

but that does not imply that I agree with the remainder of the Red State article.

If it sticks to the wall, Contendahh takes credit.  If not, as in this case . . . he blames the source.

Leftist media want to claim they forced Trump into donating $5.6 million to vet's causes - cool.  Funny when the CNN reporter was asked to vet  the vetting and came up with the more popular ones were the ones CNN supported.

Lets see how many millions they can force Hillary into donating.  Oh, that's right, she never said she would.

Which thrills Condendahh.

I didn't expect an apology from Condie.  That would be the action of an honorable person.

I don't expect you or anyone else in this discussion to ante up anything to disprove what I posted to begin this string.  I have thus concluded the obvious, namely that there is no basis for an apology.

Despite your pitiful protestations, your claims were disproved.

The pitiful thing is the inability of you and others to put up anything to disprove what I posted to begin this string. You have had many chances to do so, but you weakly default to a vague and unsupported claim that they were disproved. That is the last resort of those who can not put up the goods.

The vets got their money.

Your point[?] is mute.

The correct term is "moot."

Yes, they got their money, but the Trump gang did a lot of misrepresenting along the way and it was obvious that the right hand did not always know what the left hand was doing.  And how about those checks suddenly issued on May 24, the same day the New York Times raised questions?  A clumsily executed exercise all-in-all, given the full story..

Moot.  Yep, that's the correct term.

And you have not proven anything either! I remember that post 911 there were telethons and charity drives by entertainers in association with the United Way and there were issues with collection and disbursement of funds as well months after the events. And I might note that this was done by "professionals". I might note that organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project started out well, but they morphed, so a little vetting of vet charities was well warranted. Trump had dispersed about half of the claimed $6 Million in about two months while I believe the 911 funds were less than 20% distributed by "professionals" after two months.
