Jez sayin'

The picture entitled Moulton’s Walmart. Google Maps  isn't in Moulton.

And from the link everyone in the entire [Moulton] region is on pins and needles, waiting with anticipation when the Bass Pro Shops opens in Decatur.

LOL!!!

Funnier still are the stereotypical categories for Moulton

  • Number of dive bars per city - None
  • Number of tobacco stores per city - One
  • Number of guns and ammo stores per city - None
  • Number of Walmarts per capita - One serving the county

Well, those categories don't hunt, so they invented new categories for Moulton

Fishing gear per capita: 22nd most in Alabama - there being no other sporting goods stores, one would think WalMart is well stocked.  One would think.  I just can't believe Moulton got beat out by 21 small towns along the Gulf, rivers, and lakes in Alabama.  In Moulton, there is a parking lot just for deep water boats.  You can see it in the photo of the WalMart,

Walmarts per capita: Tied, first in state.  Per capita my azz.  Given that the nearest ones are over 20 miles away in other counties, it serves a lot more than Moulton.  And they say they used the WM store locator.  Calling BS on that.

Bass Pro Shops coming: Soon.  Still laughing about that one.

Well, Contendahh did say according to these folks.  He didn't create his own headlines nor editorialize.  He lives in this area and that broad brush covers a lot of territory.

And by the way, being from the area, the way we spell/pronounce himself   is "hisself."  Don't make me correct you again.

Red necks are hard workers. Those jacked up four wheel drive trucks, bass boats, guns, ATV's and such aren't cheap. They have to work hard to obtain their toys.

True, that!  I always liked Anniston, with the shady divided roads.  The closing of Ft McClellan and other business have really hurt.

The enormous contamination problems caused by Monsanto in the Anniston area have resulted in the characterization of Anniston  as the "most polluted town in the USA." That is not much of an inducement for businesses, industry or retirees to locate there. Read this story of corporate recklessness, lying, and irresponsibility:
