Typical demoslop, attacking someone personally. Only a clod hopping, illiterate hick would call Sessions a "country bumpkin".

Education and early career

He was born in Selma, Alabama, on December 24, 1946,[1] the son of Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, Jr., and the former Abbie Powe.[2] He was named after his father, who was named after his grandfather, who was named after Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederate States of America,[3] and P. G. T. Beauregard, the Confederate general who oversaw the bombardment of Fort Sumter, starting the American Civil War.[4] His father owned a general store in Hybart, Alabama, and then a farm equipment dealership. Both of Sessions's parents were of primarily English ancestry, with some Scots-Irish.[5][6] In 1964, Sessions became an Eagle Scout, and later, he earned the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award for his many years of service.[7]

After attending Wilcox County High School in nearby Camden, Sessions studied at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, graduating with a B.A. degree in 1969. He was active in the Young Republicans and was student body president.[8]Sessions attended the University of Alabama School of Law and graduated with a J.D. degree in 1973.[9]

Sessions entered private practice in Russellville and later in Mobile.[10][11] He also served in the Army Reserve in the 1970s with the rank of captain.[10]

The hearing was about Sessions meetings with the Russians which he called a "detestable lie."  After beating that dead horse a time or two the Democrats realizing they had nothing began a "witch hunt"  switching tactics and spent the rest of their time trying to force Session to disclose confidential conversations with Trump, the same privilege the Obama WH staff claimed.

CNN Cuts Feed After Senator Objects to Clinton Foundation Atty Joining ‘Independent’ Counsel

Tuesday morning, seconds after Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) raised concerns that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had hired a former Clinton Foundation attorney to assist with the probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Graham was questioning Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who was sitting in for Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Democrats have long accused the Trump campaign of colluding with Russia, though no evidence has emerged. There is also speculation that Special Counsel Mueller will probe allegations of obstruction of justice against President Donald Trump.

Earlier this week, reports emerged that Mueller had hired attorneys for his investigative team who had donated to Hillary Clinton in the past, and one in particular who had represented the Clinton Foundation in its effort to block Freedom of Information Act requests for e-mails on Clinton’s private server.

Graham: Is giving political donations a reason to disqualify somebody for serving in the Special Counsel’s office?

Rosenstein: No, Senator, it is not a disqualification. It is not.

Graham: As a matter of fact, many states, the judges and prosecutors are actually elected. Donations are a part of that system, is that correct?

Rosenstein: Yes, that’s true.

Graham: Would it be a disqualification for somebody in the Special Counsel’s office who had represented Mrs. Clinton in the past to serve?

Rosenstein: You know, Senator, it would depend on facts and circumstances. As a general matter, I think the answer is no.

Graham: Isn’t that much closer to a conflict of interest?

Rosenstein: I don’t want to answer a hypothetical, Senator. Everybody needs to make a determination based on the facts and circumstances of the individual case.

Graham: How would you get it before the Special Counsel? What process could a member of the Senate use to inform the Special Counsel that you’d have a concern about hiring someone that represented Clinton?

Rosenstein: We have a process within the Department of Justice, Senator, so I would encourage you, if you have those concerns, to raise them with [former] Director Mueller or to raise them with me, and I’ll make sure —

Graham: So should I do it to you or to him?

Rosenstein: Well, you could do it to both.

Graham: Okay. That’s fair enough.

Rosenstein: And we have career —

Graham: And I don’t know if I’ll do that, but I’ve read some things that were — I don’t think donations are disqualifying at all, but if you represented the Clinton Foundation or Clinton herself, that would be disturbing to me, but I’ll take care of that.

CNN cut back to the studio shortly after that, while Graham was still questioning Rosenstein.

Earlier, Graham had asked Rosenstein whether there was “any reason, for cause, to fire Mr. Mueller.” Rosenstein had said he did not know of any reason.

Sessions was quite careful as he entered the minefield of the Senate intelligence commission.  Dem Senator Warner played the part of Cotton Mather in the witch hunt.

Sessions used "I can't recall" for two reasons.  He, like most of us, don't possess an eidetic memory.  Do you remember everyone you shook hands with at a large reception, months afterwards?  Plus, he knew that the Dems would jump at the chance of a perjury charge, if me did not speak exactly as to a something.  "I don't recall" and "To the best of my recollection," are two old lawyers ploys to keep their client from a perjury charge.

Meanwhile, as this witch hunt/Indonesian shadow puppet show continues, we learn that the Russians were attacking the US electoral system for months before the election in about 37 states.  That Obama knew of the attacks, contacted the Russians on a back channel line to complain, but did little otherwise.

I'm going to post on this in the News section of the forum.

Does he mean we won't hear from him under that ID? I wonder why Contendahh thinks anyone cares when or if they ever hear from him again. Didn't he deliver his swan song long ago?

Glad to hear you're back and your same ol self.  I'm afraid the standard you have set for your return, MacArthur, is so distant in the future you will forget why you left.  In the meantime, if you want to know if you'll be missed again, a little swan song for ya

Forget swan song, dead duck is a better image.

I reserve the right to occasionally return to this forum.  The asinine, blithering, inchoate eructations from the pursed lips of the small-handed, smaller-brained bloviating ignoramus currently contaminating the Oval Office are inadequately addressed in the al.com forums.  I anticipate bringing some balance to the discussions here.

Yet, we see success on so many fronts.

So, knowing a lying coward liberal/Dem can't stay away until
2024 is too stupid to realize the sleazy minions are him and his------

Clintondahh has no excuses for his leaders Anti-American BS

Well, it is taking longer than I expected, and in that interval it has become apparent that Trump's presidency has become so much more clumsy and so tainted with failure that I must acknowledge that my original intention was made in excessive haste.  I have recanted, having seen the need to assist the Trumpanistas on this forum toward renovation of their ill-placed idolatrous and sycophantic devotion to this bloviating ignoramus.

However you might wish to interpret it, I am back and in view of the current political climate, I will find it easier than ever before to shine the light of relevance against the dark and dismal conditions into which the current wingnut  POTUS has plunged this nation with his irrationality, narcissism, racism, paranoia, and vilification of the free press.

You, Kraven, and budsfarm sure seem to care, given the haste and interest you have exhibited  in responding to my return.

You bet I care.  When ever haste is called for, count me in for a front row seat any and every time you make a fool of yourself.  Just when I thought I we'd lost you, YOU resurrected the dead horse that YOU killed.  LOL!

Please sir, may I have another.  LOL!

Keep telling yourself that; you  have to seek comfort somewhere.

Ever wonder why alt left liberals never explain why Trump is in
their minds a bad President..??
