In her Jan. 8 “Taking the measure of Trump,” Ann McFeatters alleges that Donald Trump is the most dangerous president in U.S. history. Her rant includes charges that he fired FBI director James Comey without cause.

Comey deserves more than being fired. He should be charged with covering for Hillary Clinton’s crimes, and personally leaking classified information to the press.

McFeatters accuses Trump of ruining Americans’ vital respect for institutions such as the FBI and the IRS. The IRS under Obama illegally discriminated against conservatives. The FBI under Comey covered for Hillary Clinton’s crimes.

McFeatters claims that Trump is unpatriotic and falsely accuses him of refusing to acknowledge Russian interference in our elections.

Perhaps the most ridiculous of McFeatters’ criticisms is that the president played golf while the Americans were celebrating the holidays.

The accusation that Trump is using the presidency to make millions is laughable. He has been making millions for a long time.

McFeatters accuses Trump of trying to undermine American reliance on facts to determine what they think. If we were to rely upon what she calls the “free press” for facts, we would be in deep trouble.

Most of the columns on the editorial page are usually anti-Trump, except for a few on local issues.  McFeatters' columns are not only anti-Trump, but contain the most distortions and out right lies of any.  I subscribe to TD for the local news and, not much else.  I scan the editorial page, but rarely read it.

Maybe they have had some complaints and lost some ad revenue.
