If you get Sunday's Newspaper then you surely saw the article, on page one, about the House of Vacuum building and the Sweetwater area renewal of the area.  It's good to know that people are investing in the revival of this area and no doubt the new Hospital location has a lot to do with it.

As a foodie, I'm also glad to hear that there is a new restaurant going to locate in the area along with the three that are already there (Staggs Grocery, Seasons, and Ray at the Bank).  As I've mentioned in another post under another forum category I hope that it will be a Cajun/Creole restaurant seeing that the area lost it's only one (that I know of) New Orleans Transfer when it closed account of the owner's passing.

The investor(s) that are choosing to bank on this area of the city and relocating their office to the area and the building they purchased is the Contractors who build under "High Cotton Homes".  While some areas of the city are going to see some decline, due to medical providers moving their offices to the new Doctor's building when the new Hospital opens, this area seems to be seeing a revival what with the building renovations and new roundabout being constructed, and hopefully completed around December.
