The precautionary power outages that the California Utility has chosen to do can certainly be understood or at least I can understand them doing it from a strictly business point of view.  When they are looking at the litigation and expense of being saddled with the blame for the fires that destroyed so many homes in California last year you can understand them wanting to limit their legal exposure to litigation by removing the source of those potential fires.

I don't know how many are suing the utility over the fires last year but I can imagine that the totals involved are staggering and profits from the utilities product will not approach paying for the litigation cost.  Who knows they may have insurance to cover the court verdicts or claims but you can almost bet that it is that litigation and potential payouts that are driving the utility to cut the power to all those people now.

I can truly feel for the people who are out of power, losing all their refrigerated and frozen goods and the inconvenience of doing without power altogether.  You can imagine the demand for generators that there must be in California today.   Then again there are so many more crazy things going on in California that you wonder how folks put up with it all.  It must be a beautiful place to live with great weather, at least for much of the State, but putting up with the taxes and the regulations that the State Democrats have imposed on them has to be impossibly burdensome.

Ohh and don't forget about Gas restrictions and prices.

Be as the Bereans ( Acts 17:11 )

California may as well be a fourth world nation. It's not the fault of the
once great American soil that has been stomped into a lifeless dump
under foot of an association of communistic anti-Christ embarrassment.
The mental disease of liberalism and the absurdity of it is nothing more
than nonsense and common silliness.

California is the exact likeness of liberal self hate.
