I do believe non-profits if claiming tax exempt should not be allowed to contribute to politics.  It really affects local elections when unions spend money locals don't have one way or another.

Term limits for congress,,, which should be applied by voters.  We did see this a bit the last elections,, just not enough.

Government has gotten to big,,, a thought do you think people in government are smarter than you?   if not you shouldn't want to allow them to be charge.

That's the flaw in your reasoning. Corruption has nothing to do with intelligence. Do you think you could sit across the table from putin, mbs, or kim jong un and have them at your mercy? I couldn't.  I imagine governments on all levels(state, local, federal) reflect reality.  There's a few highly intelligent people. A few not so smart people. Then everyone else is in the middle. It's the same in unions, schools, and workplaces.

What does "government has gotten too big" mean? Less people means less corruption? The trump administration shows me, if he had his way, less government means less people to expose the corruption.

cable news media are businesses. They will cater to their viewers to stay in business.  I'm proud to live in a country where I can think critically and have the freedom to pick and choose which outlets/pundits I listen to.  Calling all media propaganda is just saying your upset that all media isn't telling you what you want to hear.
