For those who travel I565, going to and from Huntsville from I65 the commute will become a bit more painful and slow as the state starts to widen the I565 corridor between I65 and Research Park Blvd (or I believe that's the section being widened).  One thing about living in the Atlanta area is that you get used to road work because Atlanta seems that they have never-ending road and interstate work which tends to bring commutes to a standstill.

On the positive side of things when they do get the road widened it should greatly improve the travel into Huntsville from the west.  All this is supposed to be to coincide with the new auto plant and making it an easier drive for those new auto plant workers.

I keep hoping to hear that the Shoals is going to pick up some industry and businesses due to the new plant but maybe it's still a little to soon for that to happen.  The problem though is even though the Shoals is about midway between the two auto plants, once the new one in Huntsville gets operating, places like Athens and Decatur with Interstate access and their less restricted roadways into Huntsville may be a greater draw for any new potential industry or business.
