To make a seperate forum for religion and atheists to post. Miscellaneous shouldnt include such topics as religion or lack there of. That isn"t miscellaneous. Just a thought.....

Several requests have been made for a separate religious category, I even made one a few months ago. I agree that it needs to be done since most of mis. ends up a good vs evil war! Pick which ever side you like! 
I agree, we do not need religion being brought in to every discussion. It has it's place but not in every topic. That gets old !!!!

That would be a blessing if the TD would create a RELIGION or RELIGIOUS BELIEFS forum. We have to make it a Religious Beliefs forum because we know that our Friends Fish and Deep will be in up to their necks in all the discussions. And, they have a right -- since they have their religion of Atheisim.
While, I, to a degree, agree with Justasking that discussions of God and Darwin do not belong in every discussion -- God certainly belongs in a lot of them. But, to be gracious, I promise to stay out of the Food Forum with my God.
In Sports, we have a lot of God -- even from our atheist Friends. Everyone is "praying" that their team will massacre their opponents -- and on the other side of the field, that group is praying the same. Praise God these prayers are not answered -- or we would have 22 dead players on the field. Maybe more when Alabama and Auburn are playing.
So, yes, TD Moderators -- give us a RELIGIOUS BELIEFS Forum.

i wonder why they are so squeamish about it?
I agree -- it's getting like the news section used to be littered with 10 different threads on the same politics topics -- it would be so much easier to put them all in one place that way the rest of us can weed through them easier if we don't wish to read them...

I agree. That's one reason why I don't post as much. Besides the numerous threads on religious topics, every discussion ended up as the same discussion. I click on a topic I'm interested in & there it is again, a religious debate that has nothing to do with the topic. So I just stopped responding. Maybe if everyone stopped responding to an out of place jab to Atheists or Christians or any other religion, the thread could continue on topic. A section for religious debates would be great.

I agree with everything said in this discussion so far, except your comment that the moderators do not respond to PMs. I have never had a PM ignored by the moderator. As far as I know, there is only one mod right now; and that is EH. But, as I said, I have never had any of them ignore any PM I have sent to them.
On the other hand, I, too, wish they would create a new Forum for Religious Beliefs.

I've sent two Pms to the mods. One went unanswered until i posted in public that it hadnt been answered. The last one has yet to be answered, concerning this thread and the request for a religious forum. Misc is too cluttered up with all the religious/atheist threads. The TD is slacking on their moderating and thread categories. Unless you violate TOS then theyre Johnny on the spot. This is there current internet media team:

I agree, there needs to be a forumn on Religion.
We have one on Politics and Sports and I don't believe anyone can start an topic in which I cannot tie it into Politics, Religion and Sports.
I would have thought the feedback section would be heavily monitored........silly me!..... lol...
Please don't forget that this forum is owned by the same people that print the paper edition of TD. They are only going to change or print what helps them make a buck.
