Just as I believe a comment should be made when something goes wrong I also believe comments should be made to reward performance.

In this case I have had several good meals at Ruby Tuesdays, or at least the one in Florence, and just wanted to say that their 6 oz Petite Sirloin is a very tasty choice.  I usually have it with the 4 fried Shrimp but it is also available alone without the shrimp.  Ruby Tuesdays also has a very complete and nice salad bar.   It's also a choice that doesn't break the bank.

When on the road, Ruby Tuesdays was always my fall back choice.  Never had a bad meal and quite a few decent ones.  Nice wine choice, as well.  One thing I do not like, which they and other similar restaurants share is the inability to serve food and drink as courses, which was once common. If, I order a c*cktail to drink before supper, they would bring it later in the meal, with a glass of wine, as well.  If, I ordered an appetizer, it would usually arrive with the main course.  Now, I order the drink and refuse to order anything else until I get the drink.  I skip the appetizers completely.  The nice thing about their salad bar is that its self serve -- one can get the salad and finish it before the main course arrives.

I made another trip back to Ruby Tuesday's and again a great tasting steak.   This time around though I added a side of grilled shrimp to the meal and I actually got a fairly good portion and it also was very good.  I'm always glad to be able to share a good review rather than a complaint.

I also have to say that regarding their salad bar, even compared to Sperry's, Ruby Tuesday's is the only place that I can remember making (cooking) their own croutons.  When hot and fresh out of the kitchen you can't beat them.

I'll add to my original post yet one more steak offering that was a delight and a very much surprise to me and just how well I thought I would like it.  That would be Outback Steakhouse's Sliced Roasted Sirloin which at $10.99 isn't a bad value even if that portion size is only 5 oz for that price.  The bad news is that, from what I understand, it's a temporary offering.  I was hoping that they added it to the regular menu.
