Demonstrating a far greater degree of consistency than, for example, the theocratic defenders of the likes of Judge Roy Moore, the ACLU has entered a dispute in Virginia, in which public school administrators have ordered certain student-athletes to stop posting the 10 Commandments on their locker doors. The issue is a simple one and the ACLU has made a sensible request of school authorities. Their argument is very straightforward, namely that if other messages are allowed on lockers, then messages containing the students' personal expressions of religious sentiment also must be permitted.

The school could legally prohibit ALL postings on lockers, but if they allow some, they may not legally prohibit others (all within the bounds of decency, of course). You go, ACLU! And a big raspberry to the overly-cautious school satraps, who show, once again, the all-too-common cluelessness of public school administrators in such matters.

So, an organization that was formed for the sole purpose of defending the Constitutional rights of American citizens is either "leftist" or Communist? You are just too silly for words. Maybe ignorant is a better descriptor than silly.
