That is one I struggle with. On the one hand, it implies that people are inferior and need special treatment. On the other hand, even with affirmative action, minorities still need to be twice as good in many cases. In New York, there is a particular group that controls the accounting and financial industries. They speak openly of "Looking out for our own". That small taste of what some people go through in every aspect of their life on a daily basis was quite an eye opener.

I agree. Sometimes its hard to tell if affirmative action does more harm than good.
