For physicians, the strains include higher operating costs. The Obama health plan puts expensive new mandates on doctors, such as a requirement to purchase IT systems and keep more records. Overhead costs already consume more than 60% of the revenue generated by an average medical practice, according to a 2007 survey by the Medical Group Management Association. At the same time, reimbursement under Medicare is falling. Some specialists, such as radiologists and cardiologists, will see their Medicare payments fall by more than 10% next year. Then there's the fact that medical malpractice premiums have risen by 10%-20% annually for specialists like surgeons, particularly in states that haven't passed liability reform.

The bottom line: Defensive business arrangements designed to blunt ObamaCare's economic impacts will mean less patient choice.

Now can we say "NO YOU CAN'T!".
What do folks expect when Politicians get behind closed doors and pick lobbyist, lawyers, everyone but insurance companies representatives for their side, doctors and service providers for their take and then the insured, the person receiving the medical bills for their input. No wonder we get a pig of a bill like this. If any substantial reform was to take place it would take parties on all sides to set down and work out something in the free market and not controlled by the government and run by the government. That's socialism and that's against the Constitution which never gave such powers to the legislative or executive branch and surely not the Judicial branch nor was there any such power provided for with the IRS.

We know now that most back door deals were made in secret and people, politicians were paid off for their support. We also know that the people making the bill and voting for it would never have to abide by it themselves for they would maintain their gravy plan.

This current President, His unconstitutional czars and socialist or communist leaning advisers along with the likes of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have convinced me I never need vote for a Democrat again and that the only thing to do is get them all out if possible. No less than our Democracy, our freedoms, and our form of Government as given by the Constitution is at stake.

Carter was embarrassing and ineffective but Obama is plain dangerous. At least Clinton knew enough to back down when the American people spoke. I can only hope that there is such a skewed vote in November that the Democrats lose so many seats that the will of the American people is too plain to ignore but if ignored would present the President with such a majority, against him, in both the house and senate that he can do no more damage other than his embarrassing speeches apologizing for everything American.

I hate to be one that says "I told you so", but the danger of this healthcare overhaul was being discussed in the medical healthcare forums for months, and we knew what was going to happen. By 2014 the standard primary care physician will be as elusive as a three headed frog.

Somehow, I told you so just doesnt seem strong enough Mad
Wouldn't be interesting to know exactly how many Senators and Congressmen actually read even 50% of that bill before it was voted upon? My guess is that the grand total would be "0." If I had been voting -- no matter which party, I would've abstained, citing the fact that I'd had no opportunity to read the bill. We have two or three people in each house who are the "leaders" and the minions follow them blindly off a cliff.

According to Pelosi, "You have to pass the bill to know what's in it..."

In the Private Sector, these people would be known as con men, scammers and grifters.
