I remember that just about a year ago that TD had an article in it saying the Department voted themselves about a 60% pay raise with another 52% raise to their expense account..... that to me is an abuse of power... bet this forum had fun with that one?......

I don't have a link, it was mentioned on a program on Alabama Public Television, I believe it was on the "For the Record Show" as far as them stating that Alabama Government department heads were near the top as far as their salaries. I'm sure you could order the transcript if you're that interested. It was this past Friday's show.

It just surprised me that Alabama would be near the top. As far as Alabama being near the bottom in state rankings, read a newspaper sometime. It should come as no surprise to anyone since we have one of the lowest tax rates. It's what we choose, I wasn't complaining I don't really care what we're ranked, we get the government we deserve. Just thought it was ironic the pay is so high since we choose to spend so little relatively on services.
