Yes! Cattails grow in water around 12 inches deep. How to grow them domestically is this...

The land must have access to lots of water such as low land area where water stands a lot, a river, creek, or where you can irrigate the field....
Dig a 15 inch strip 20 feet wide and 200 feet long...then move over about 12 feet then repeat.
Place small pieces of the cattail root within the trench and flood with water...The small shoots will start to grow in spring...they can be harvested for salads, and dishes. They taste like cucumbers with a sweet taste...
The flowering tops can be cut off when they are young. They taste like young pencil corn.

Then allow the stalks to grow and they will grow extremely fast. The bottom 3 feet from just above the roots are loaded with starch. If you do not intend to use them as food then put about 1/2 bed of manure in the water and the cattails will get huge. They thrive off of sewer water.

The stalks above 3 feet up to the brown cattail make good cattle feed. The Brown cattail will dissolve into a light fluff which is used for stuffing dolls, pillows, quilts, etc..
Sugar Cane has to be planted once as it is perennial and can be harvested for up to 10 years without being replanted and produces around 900 gals per acre/ Sorghum around 3500 gals per acre/ Jerusalem artichokes which are delicious and grow very easy here in the south produce 750 gals a acres/ buffalo gourds are loaded with starch, grow very fast here in the south and will give you around 900 gals per acre.
Potatoes give you more alcohol than corn at 447 gals per acre.
The *****ly Pear which is considered a pain in the butt here will give you 500 gals of alcohol a acre.
Apples and other fruits will give around 140 gals per acre.

Presently I am checking into Kudzu to get a better idea of its productive per acre...Millfoil which is the aquatic weed that clogs ponds and streams may be a excellent product for alcohol but the test is still on going at this time....Kelp is a fanstastic stock for alcohol.

Do you now start to get the idea that we have enough natural products in this country to replace all of the petroleum products and unshakle ourselves from the middle east.

All we have to do is make it happen...it is up to you and I to start utilizing what we have here in America for our energy. You can do it at your home...you can produce your own fuel for heating, cooking and for your vehicles and lawn mowers...think about you no longer have to pay the extortion prices demanded by our oil companies...
This is our Ethano Revolution...why not join us ....we are growing rapidly...get mad and say "I am not going to take it anymore"...

Remember in the early 70's the gas lines ...Remember when our congress stated we need to get off of the middle east nipple...

Well! here you are in 2009 with the same problems you faced then or your grandparents and parents faced at your age...

Congress did what they always do best...strut, bluster, spit out evictives toward the oil companies then sit on their butts and continued to do the same thing they have always done to get us off of the petrol bottle...NOTHING..

Brazil in 1980 had the same problem...but one thing was different...their military dictatorship said enough was enough.
Brazil by the way is the same size as the United States.
It was during this time, the dictator of Brazil toll GM they must start producing cars in their factories that could use alcohol. GM protested stated it would be too expensive and impossible for them to do that in a timely manner.
They were given one instruction...GET OUT OF THE COUNTRY...LEAVE YOUR PLANTS AND EQUIPMENT HERE, WE WILL DO IT OURSELVES..

Within 6 months GM was running more than 60% of their cars with flex engines off of the assembly line, and in 1984 over 94% were engines that burned alcohol.

What did the car makers have to do...simply adjust the compression ratio.

The Brazilian Farmers switched from table sugar to production of fuel and their was a stable supply to run their cars. The Gasoline manufactures complained about their over abundant of gas and that they could not sale as much.
This fell on deaf ears until the military rule came to a end and a new government came in.
With that change came new monetary influence which helped influence their government leaders to allow the gasoline manufactures to have more share of the market.
They also allowed the sugarcane farmers to start producing sugar for export which at that time gave them more profit. The alcohol supply went down and the demand for gasoline went up. The Gasoline manufactures claimed they had a shortage and could only produce so much. The gas prices soared and history begin to repeat itself.(Sound Familiar...take note the price of oil a barrel is at its lowest in 10 years, yet have you notice the price of the gasoline going up?..Remember when the oil company told you they were charging you more because of the price of a barrel of oil. Have you noticed how silent they are at this time about the price increase and how deafeningly silent the protest from the OBAMA Whitehouse has been about this price increase for no apparent reason).
George Bush is not in the white house, yet the OBAMA team is still allowing us, the citizen get shafted...why do you think that is so? Has Change Really Come To The White house?)

In the late 90's alcohol use took off and again and now Brazil have over 31,000 stations that supply alcohol.
In 2005 the demand for flex engines far exceeded the demand for gasoline engines and continues to climb. Gasoline is about 45% higher in cost there presently and the demand for alcohol fuel is increasing.
Brazil imports very little oil, and that is used mainly for the diesel engines.
They at at this time, are building numerous bio-diesel plants to replace the petro diesel.

We now have flex engines being produced here in the USA...but guess what? Have you attempted to fine a E-85 pump? They are as rare as hen teeth as the distribution has been given to OIL COMPANIES to set up the pumps...
Talk about giving the fox the keys to the hen house...

A surprise to many is the auto industry has discovered the flex engine vehicle retains a higher resale value than the gasoline engine.

As you can see there is a WAR on going with the petrol companies and the alcohol refineries. The oil companies will do everything they can to stop their market share from being diluted and the use of alcohol from getting a significant share of the fuel market.

In this WAR they have put out several myths to confuse the issue on whether you should use alcohol for fuel or not. In the next post I will give you some of those myths as I am sure you have heard of them.

OPEC and Chavez says they are going to drive the oil price back up to $70.00 a barrel.

They think you have buy their oil to run your cars, cook with, and heat with....YOU DON'T!

NOW! IS THE TIME TO BREAK THE MIDDLE EAST CHAIN...
We have enough feedstock to make all of the alcohol fuel you will ever use...at a fraction of the pump cost...Keep reading and I will tell you how on this site...
If you wish to talk with me...give me a PM..
