Early this year Don Imus spent a good part of his program speculating on the possible consequences of taking the Bush Administration and some other people to the gallows.
It was not pretty, and it was not complimentary to the Commander in chief and his cronies.
Then Imus hit a topic near and dear to liberals, and got canned.
I cannot help wondering if the Rutgers Women's Basketball ruckus was not just a "convenient excuse" for getting rid of Imus after he, well, ummmmm, insulted GW Bush and Company. Some people actually took the January 3rd show to be Imus urging the hanging of the President, but a transcript shows only that he was speculating on how certain members of the administration would react to being led to the gallows.
There was not much of a blow up, but I still wonder, "would Imus have been out so far in the cold if he had been a bit more respectful regarding Mr's Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Pearle and Wolfowitz?"
