American Farmers Moving To Mexico As Illegals Forced To Leave
February 23, 2008 Sean Wilson--
Cheap labor barons have been hurt by the lack of cheap labor in the form of illegal aliens. In fact, some have been hurt so much that they are moving their businesses. Where else would they move them, but Mexico?
Farmers Would Rather Move Farming To Mexico Than Pay Americans Better Wages—The Lie Is Exposed
Some American farmers are moving south of the border, renting and leasing large parcels of land to farm. That’s right, these farmers simply do not want to pay better wages to Americans.
The whole lie that Americans won’t do the work that illegals aliens do is just that—a lie. We are starting to see the truth come to light. People who have been hiring illegal aliens would rather take their businesses to Mexico than pay American workers wages consistent with the standard of living in America.
These farmers still argue that Americans don’t want farm jobs. That’s another lie. The media is always quick to attempt frightening Americans with tales of impending economic doom that will result if we stop illegal immigration. There are plenty of Americans who will do farm work—just not for the wages that farmers pay illegal aliens. That is basic economics.
Why do you think we have tens of thousands of legal immigrants from Mexico and India each year while just a bit over 2000 from Ireland for example? Do cheap labor barons want more immigrants from nations that have the highest standard of living in Europe and that will expect decent wages, or do they want those immigrants from nations that have large populations that will work for low wages? That, too, is economics—just not what they love to point out in your college economics classes.

Cheap labor is at the center of this issue on the one hand. On the other, it is about greedy people who would rather move their business overseas than pay wages more in line with a nation that has a higher standard of living. Just because it involves agriculture does not mean that wages should not increase as in other sectors. If a nation’s standard of living increases to the point that no one wants to do a particular kind of labor for the wages paid to perform that job, either wages must go up or you must find a way to lower production and labor costs—or you go out of business.
Most people will say that they are only doing what is smart from a business standpoint and moving a business out of the USA as other companies have done. This is true and that is also basic economics. It is also true that they are creating vulnerabilities in the American economy and our national security by their doing so, and that is called your basic greed. The problem with all outsourcing is that it creates vulnerabilities outside the control of the entity doing the outsourcing.

Imagine what happens, for example, if tens of thousands of workers in India go on strike to protest a policy in the USA. Big deal, you say? It is if they happen to be the outsourced workers that deal with credit card processing as many American firms have come to rely on. Think in terms of tens of millions of dollars of damage done to the American economy every day as part of a strike, by foreign workers working for American companies who have no loyalty to anything but profit.
Similarly, what happens when farm workers strike and we can’t even hire those willing to work to keep produce in the markets—because the farms are in Mexico? What happens if the Mexican government is overthrown and American farmers in Mexico end up feeding the next peoples revolution of Mexico rather than Americans? What will happen to millions of Americans across the nation? On any given day, there is enough food in a major American city to last about three days in the event of a major disaster (such as when Katrina hit New Orleans) before we would see mass starvation and the accompanying chaos as fighting broke out over dwindling supplies.
You think this is far fetched?
Some brilliant minds have postulated these very scenarios, and some are thinking up solutions that will protect us from potential vulnerabilities to our society in the future, including the agriculture and economic implications.
John McCain Still Supports Amnesty
Senator McCain claims he heard the people’s message on immigration. Did he? He wants you to think he did.
He says we should secure the border and then address other issues after that’s done. What he means is that we secure the borders and since we will then have 12 million illegal aliens trapped inside the country we’ll just go ahead and give them amnesty.
“I still believe we have to have a temporary worker program that works and addresses the issues of the 12 million people that are here illegally.”
— John McCain - Weare, NH, December 2007
(Source: ABC News)
That’s not new. He’s been sticking to that for some time…
“Very seldom have I seen an issue that aroused this much passion with the American people. No one is for amnesty. I and the president came forward with a plan that we thought was comprehensive and workable with the priority being border security, which remains my position. Why we failed is because the American people have lost trust and confidence in us. We have to succeed, because there’s 12 million people who are in this country illegally, which is de facto amnesty, and we need a temporary worker program.”
— John McCain - GOP debate, Univ. of NH, September 2007

Do you know where the next war Americans will fight is likely to take place? Right here, on our own soil is the thought of many people. Why? You should watch the movie, Border, which shows you just why.
Do you remember the incident where National Guardsmen allowed armed Mexicans into our country? Did you know that they encountered them where armed Mexicans were filmed a year and a half earlier by the maker of the film, Border? Did you know that the Border Patrol in the interim had asked for copies of this movie to use to train their agents as they thought it might help save lives?
Your government, the government of the United States of America, knew precisely where to find these armed illegal aliens crossing the border, and yet it was a year-and-a-half before they confronted them. And then the Guardsmen backed down when they did.
Oh, and our same cowardly, laggardly, ineffective government that doesn’t want to offend Mexico threatened to arrest the filmmaker, Chris Burgard, if he ever went back there to film again.
Here is another example of why the war will be here…in the words of those believe they are already at war with the USA

Sounds like a whole lot of bitterness to me. The last time I checked, it was called capitalism - the American way! I have the right to do whatever it takes to make the biggest possible profit. Get used to it. Eeker
I do not consider these owners as farmers. They are owners of produce industry farms. An American farmer owns a farm -not runs an industry. This is a distinction. I thought you meant Uncle John out in Lauderdale Cty was packing up to go and taking Spanish lessons. lol Quite a few of the Hispanics- Guatemalans especially, in the Shoals were brought in to work on Colbert ad Franklin Cty farms.
why is this only about farmers? go observe 80% of the construction co.s in the area; whether it's homebuilding, bricklaying, paving, cleaning, landscaping, ILLEGALS. go to target and others at closing time; ILLEGALS man the overnight cleaning crews.
and if you think they're all making sub minimum wage, don't kid yourself. I know of illegal immigrants in Atl. making $17.+ an hour.
If you are having a home built, landscaping done, or whatever, and illegals are doing the work, you are part of the problem. it is your duty to find out if they are indeed undocumented and refuse to have them on your property. you also should turn them in to the INS. laws are being broken; they ARE ILLEGAL!
Wild guess. You see a bunch of hispanic males standing around the front of a home depot during the work day, and occasionally jumping onto the back of a pickup truck and going off somewhere. They match certain patterns which, in a more politically correct society, would be referred to as "racial profiling". Another way to describe that would be "applied statistical analysis", but that's another story altogether.

Besides, what "papers" do YOU carry around to prove your citizenship? Although I'd love to use the line, "Your papers are not in order!"
marian-
I can't say 100% that they're all illegals, but I do use common sense and keen skills of observation to deduce that the likelyhood is great that they are illegal. Generally, not speaking the language or even making an attempt to do so is red flag. Having worked on many construction sites in Texas, where I was born and raised and resided for 31 years, gives you the insight that zippadee was referring to. You don't have to be a genius to realize you are being infiltrated, but you do have to be a moron not to. Also, I've been told directly by the homeowners, company owners and foreman, in casual conversations, that the workers in question, were illegal aliens. The owner of the company in Atlanta, that I referred to, paying the $17. hourly wage to the illegals, proudly passed on that info. When you work on construction sites, it eventually comes out and becomes common knowledge, that the non-English speaking, darker skinned men who generally have darker hair and brown eyes and arrive in groups and perform the more menial tasks (in most cases), are for the most part, undocumented illegal alien workers from Mexico, Guatemala, and other Central and South American countries. I also have worked for companies who hired said immigrants and therefore I worked alongside, and in many cases, supervised the same said aliens.
To make sure you understand, I didn't just throw out an unsubstantiated statement. My statement came from life experiences and direct knowledge. I don't know your experiences, but if you are still in doubt, talk to the young gentlemen who are the night cleaning crew at Target at about 9:55 pm. Ask the bricklayers at the north end of Helton Dr. where it intersects with Church Rd. or maybe the road crew working on Florence Blvd by the new Helton Dr. overpass. Ask the nice men who wait tables at La Hacienda or Casa Mexicana, or for a real 'wake-up call', take a drive up to Golden Poultry or whatever it's called now and ask around. Take a tour through the Waco community an few miles east of Russellville for a real eye opener. If you want to know 100% for sure if a group of Hispanic workers are legal or illegal, put on a uniform that resembles an INS agent and enter that workplace and take note of the reaction of those workers. I know this is a sure-fire method of sorting out legals from illegals. Once when I was working in medium size facility in Dallas, my brother, who was a Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) bus driver, walked into the workplace, and all of the illegals fled at the sight of him. We didn't know it at the time, but his uniform closely resembled the INS (immigration and naturalization) uniforms. Now I must, in all honesty, add, that I didn't ask them if they were illegal, I did rely on my powers of observation. And, further, I'm not a racist. I would probably be here too, if I were in their shoes. The only difference is that I would try to learn the language, adopt the culture, and try to become legal.
