Very true,...... i just talked to a few people...... it does look like an agent,... and possible family members involved. From this standpoint it all depends on when it happened. If indeed it did.quote:Originally posted by hayssco:
most major news outlets are reporting that it was improper dealings with an agent, for Bama's sake let hope that if it is the case, that it happened sometime between now and the SEC CG, other wise, the university could get in trouble if he played in a game. And with just barely being removed from probation, it could be a major hit.

Did The state of Alabama not pass a law making it illegal for an agent to talk to amateur athletes?
quote:are you nuts it is not the agents fault. That is their job, so if someone came to your job and told you hey if you do any work from this time to this time you will be fined or serve jail time

OK what if you were say 20 or 21 years old or so. If someone hung a hook baited with 50 mill in front of you, would you bite? I would without a doubt. If this is viewed "wrong" by the law I think the Agents should be penalized alot harder than the kids. But he will get a PILE of money, enough for several families to retire on, the agent will make a pile, the team and fans are the ones that loose. But I still can't blame the kid or call it a "bad" choice. JM2C
And he did,..... he declared yesterday in Montgomery. Hope he drafts high. I figure top 5. Mock drafts had him at 2. Which ever way it goes he will pocket a few dollars. Good luck Andre and thank you. He came in at a time that wasnt the brightest for Bama. And he leaves Bama better off than when he signed. I'm with you Mental. Actually, Andre would have been crazy to play in that game anyway. He's assured of a #2 draft pick and a multimillion $ contract. If he gets a career ending injury in that game, all of that is gone. College football is all about money, and Andre deserves to get his. Thank him for his great play in the past, and wish him well. He has to do what's best for him.
