"Football" was my father's favorite...I've heard him quote from that many times. I was surprised to learn today that was recorded before I was born.

 

Griffith portrayed a special prosecutor in Fatal Vision. It's on DVD and a surprisingly great movie. I had read the book first and didn't expect that much from the movie, but everyone gave a superb performance.

Darling Family members

  • Briscoe Darling Jr. — The head of the Darling household, he acted as the spokesman for the group. He was also the leader of the family band, in which he played a ceramic jug. Briscoe was played by Denver Pyle, who was best known for his roles as "Buck Webb" on The Doris Day Show and "Uncle Jesse" on The Dukes of Hazzard.

I only remember him(Denver Pyle) as Uncle Jesse. Never watched The Doris Day show or even heard of it.
