Bernie Sanders made glowing statements about nations with the American Dream as the US sunk into a banana republic.

I've posted about Venezuela, where even their military senior officers are deserting because of the catastrophic conditions.

Argentina is sinking in the same manner.  Hopefully, the Argentines will pull back before becoming the next Venezuela.

"When I was in Argentina last week, I was reminded of the devastating power of high inflation. Argentina’s annual inflation rate is now about 20%, down from an estimated rate of about 40% last year. The central bank is struggling to keep the economy on a disinflationary path, with a goal of achieving a 5% rate three years from now.

Inflation in Argentina has been much higher in the past. For the 15 years from 1975 to 1990, the annual rate averaged a remarkable 300%, meaning that the price level doubled every few months, on average. Prices rose at an explosive annual rate of more than 1,000% in 1989, before inflation was finally brought under control.

In fact, inflation was all but extinguished. I remember being in Argentina in the mid-1990s, when there was virtually no inflation. Back then, the Argentine peso was pegged to the US dollar, and both currencies were used equally for day-to-day transactions on the streets of Buenos Aires."

Bernie isn't mentioning those nations as exemplars of socialism lately.  Meanwhile, his wife is being investigated for bankrupting a university. Guess Bernie can console himself in one of the three houses he owns.

Gas prices are up. Clothing is up. Productivity is up. Inflation is rising. Groceries are up. The only thing that hasn't gone up is employee wages. The one thing Republicans were screaming about, imagine that. I sure wish Republicans cared as much about what happens in the US as they do any country that's not the US.

If most Americans didn't care what happens in the US, Helda

would be president. I wonder what's keeping you here, besides

posting stupid non-sense fake news.

I provide information about the nations that proglodytes hold up as examples of what the US should be.  That, they crashed and burned, the same proglodytes don't care.

BTW, wages have risen about 2.6 percent for the last few months.  Historically, wages lag behind the decrease in unemployment.  Then, rise as employers bid for available skilled workers.

Hahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahahaha! Wages have been stagnant for so long, you can't say anything but quote numbers for the 'last few months'. Bahahahahahahahaha!

I've never seen one Democrat post one thing about any of the countries you mention, unless it's to refute your claims and prove you wrong. Show me where any forum Democrat ever praised one country you mention, regularly. I'll wait.

More bad news for Argentina, Bernie Sanders ideal of the American Dream.

"A sharp selloff of the Argentine peso is sparking new inflation fears in South America’s second-largest economy. For a country that is heavily dependent on foreign capital and has a history of repeatedly destroying its currency, this is no passing storm.

The return of the International Monetary Fund to Argentina last week with a $30 billion emergency aid package is proof that the government is in panic mode. But outsiders can’t fix this problem, and IMF austerity is likely only to rekindle isolationist sentiment.

Any rescue has to start with President Mauricio Macri explicitly backing the central bank’s independence so that the monetary authority can restore its credibility. That effort was under way in the first year of his presidency, which began in December 2015. But a persistent fiscal deficit, inadequate regulatory reform and slow growth have put increasing pressure on the central bank to print money and lower interest rates."

There used to be a saying, "As rich as an Argentine."  Then, they adopted socialist ideals and its been down hill, mostly for decades.
