Another comment on the Impeachment "Situation Room"

While I think Bush's ineptitude and mismanagement of virtually everything he has undertaken certainly rises to the level of "high crime", I dont think impeachment is likely. Censure, on the other hand is quite possible. Either way, Bush should pay for his poor leadership. We deserve better.

I have read this sentiment before, and after thinking about it, I propose this, A resolution of "The Sense of the Congress" condemning the invasion of Iraq, Asking for a concerted effort to capture Osama Bin Laden, and calling the Departments of State and Defense to work together to reach a negotiated withdrawal of American Forces from Iraq with the cooperation of the Iraqi government.
In the meantime, the Congress could pass a funding bill for the war that President Bush could sign without loosing face, and he would not be asked to approve the "Sense of the Congress" resolution at all. His only involvement would be to either order the joint State Department/DoD efforts or to not order it.
It would put Bush in a "pickle." He would either take on the task of negotiating an end to the occupation, or he would have to take responsibility for continuing it.

I would not impeach W on the Iraq issue, that seems to be nothing more or less than a huge mistake. Mistakes happen.

I would, however, consider impeachment not only for his failure to stem the invasion of our country from the south, but his enthusiastic support for it.
